So I think I want to try growing shrooms

I actually have never tried the fabled magic fungus. I have had 2 psychedelic experiences eating oil I made from moldy bud though. The first time was terrifying until I rationalized that I made the product and therefore knew it wasn't actually going to hurt me no matter how out of control things got. Thats why I want to grow my own. If things get a little hairy I want to be able to tell myself " just go with it, you know its not gonna hurt you".

I've made a shopping list, I just need to find a reliable place to get spore syringes from. Any recommendations?

Try a few more experiences to gain your 'sea legs'...shrooms and pot are totally different even if its a high dose of edible pot...otherwise,if its for yourself, get a shroom kit..less mess, involvement, and will get ya a nice 2 oz of dried shrooms..and if edibles make you terrified,2oz of shrooms will keep your complacent for a long time...or,eat a shitton of lsd and get shit done the first time.

Yeah, I would try shrooms first before you start buying supplies to make sure it is an experience you actually enjoy. Unfortunately, I'm a bit uncomfortable naming a spore supplier. I'm sure you could find some recommendations on shroomery.org.

Um. What's an aka? I think it means "also known as" but I don't understand the context. You have confused me, sir.

Sure you can but a new syringe and point cost around 2.00$

I have had problems with points failing after only hitting 2 or 3 jars
The ones I've gotten are pretty durable, even when they have been flame-sterilized or used to inject aluminum foil baking pans. But the measuring marks on the outside do wear off. I'm also an incurable cheap-ass.

Thanks Liberty chicken, + Rep!

I did not simply google "[FONT=arial, sans-serif]Psilocybe Cubensis spores" since I was looking for recommendations. Due to how much publicity its gotten I stay away from SR now.

Id really love to explain the crazy time I had with the oil. Full blown open eye hallucinations, waves of euphoria, mind blowing closed eye visuals... I could write pages detailing the experience, but some ones just gonna call BS or tell me I'm a pussy lol.

Even if I decide they aren't for me, I enjoy growing things. Its fun and rewarding

I've got an experienced sitter who is more then happy to take any un-wanted fungi off my hands lol.

Most of the needles are blunt ended. They need to be sharpened at an angle and they last longer. And in general, it's cheaper to buy needles, sterile syringes in packages etc. than it is to fuck up a grow.

One you get a few jars going you can move to compost and you no longer have to worry about sterile technique. Fruiting grain is for people who like doing things the hard way.

Settled on some Golden teachers from spores 101. I actually had everything but the popcorn to try the quick and dirty DIY that Canndo posted. Im not going to try to grown any until after I move in 2 months though.

If your in CA, you;ll have a hard time getting any supplier to ship.

Some states have restricted laws on spores.

But if you do get into growing them it's fairly simple. Look up: BRF Tek

Remember although cubensis psilocybe is a fungus you must maintain a clean sterile environment.

Also, a good species to start with is Golden Teachers.

Fortunately I live on the other side of the country, in a state with no shipping restrictions.

Thanks for the reminder on keeping a sterile environment. Because of my indoor allergies I designed the HVAC system in my new home to incorporate both H.E.P.A. and UV air treatment. I'm an HVAC tech, and I get service calls to medical facilities on a regular basis. So I have fresh/sterile hooded tyvek jumpsuit's, particle mask, gloves, shoe covers, and professional strength disinfectant in my van.

I dont know if this is a re-post, but im watching this video right now on youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cd4V4fgttTI It seems a bit dated, but helps go over the basics.
