Cant really tell ya if its an indica or a sativa, but when I can tell you, is that if those girls are 3 WEEKS into vegging.....then you must be doing something wrong. What kind of light do you have over those things?

He said 3 weeks old, which is about right. Some seeds take longer to grow. They appear to be indica dominant and you might want to cut the nutes slightly due to the very dark green color.

I am not sure on the watts but I believe there is 3 23 watts= to 60 watts and one 75 watt = 200 watt not sure on that though.

Your plants are defiantly indica dominant( big fat fan leaves, very bushy look, short length between internodes and an overall short height) all signs of indicca dominant plants. And i dont know what dude is talking about having a problem for them being three weeks. If those are 3 weeks old from seed then you are doing just fine. Plants look healthy and your set-up looks fine. But PLEASE get rid of that aluminum foil on the buckets. I cant believe how many times i see this on here. Tin foil not only reflects no light at all, it holds heat like crazy and will raise the temp of the grow room. Your buckets dont need to be reflective, the mylar on the walls is just fine.

Thanks for the info,, was hoping they looked healthy. I topped them a few days ago new growth is looking awesome. That is not tinfoil it survival blankets glued to the tops of the containers. suppose to keep heat out from the lights, as well as light leaking through the lid. I am hoping some of the heat does stay in the grow room I don't have much in the way of heating for this room just one heat vent. so far temps are around 75 to 80 degrees f.

900+ ppm can support a full grown healthy plant. At that stage 500-600 ppm should be more than enough. She is definitely indica or indica dom. As for your lighting 50 watts per sq/ft. should be your goal and not equivalent watts. She looks healthy...JAS

I don't see any real issue with the foil. Yeah, it's not all that effective really, but the OP is using CFLs, so the foil heating the air is a non-issue.

I see what your saying but if your growing in a hot climate heat is a constant issue, why put anything in your grow room that not only doesnt really do anything but retains heat. I can understand why people put it in there grow rooms, its flat, it shines, its cheap. Makes sense. But tell me one time where you saw tin foil in any kind of medical/professional grow?

Never. Now, tell me the last time you saw flouros (Not T5s) used in a professional grow? Not everyone has the resources, the option of legal operation, or the
optimum materials to accomplish a similar goal. I also didn't see where the OP said they were in an extremely hot environment? Also, I use an IR thermometer for measuring temps, and the tin foil WILL NOT significantly add/retain heat.

And as you said - FLAT, SHINES, CHEAP. For some people (Obviously not all) that is all they want/need.

The survival blankets are really just to keep light from bleeding through the plastic lids. trying to keep res from getting any bacteria. If it's not doing that well it still looks cool lol. and now it is to late to remove it is glued down heat is only an issue because I don't have enough, temps are dropping. thinking of getting some sort of propane heat as this grow will take me into the cold weather for sure. Plus propane gives off co2 correct? thinking a propane heater with a good temp control.
