Don't tempt me, we have heard nothing from this guy, the police, or his family and they live 5 doors from us he has three brothers I am expecting trouble.

He lives 5 doors down from us he has three brothers ones a cage fighter and they are well known thugs, we have heard nothing from any of them but I am expecting to! You can come and stay if you like mojo we are gathering reinforcements we may have a war to fight, and all I want is peace and quiet and people to leave my family alone not much to ask is it.

Hi GW I hope your son is going to be OK. Hopefully the brothers will be more afraid of the police taking action agents them and they will leave you all alone for the few weeks your son has till he leaves. Stabbings have a good recovery gun shoots don't. I would rather he didn't get stabbed but it is better than a gun shot and he would have had to go to a hospital. Kinda hard to find a good side to this. I hope he heals well and all goes well for him.

I don't usually condone violence in solving disputes, but I would make certain that they understood one thing, that I'm here at your door asking nicely for your son to admit his wrong doing and if there is to be a next time that I need to approach your home it won't be in a civil manner and if a 3rd visit is required...you won't hear me at all.He lives 5 doors down from us he has three brothers ones a cage fighter and they are well known thugs, we have heard nothing from any of them but I am expecting to! Not big on the cops but they are here for a reason and this is it!!! If the punk gets away with this he is likely to kill someone next time, you have a responsibility to protect other future victims by reporting. Also keep in mind the next time it could be you, your son, or someone you know.

Once you condone to those kinds of action sports your hand is a deadly weapon and will be treated as such with no leeway. At least here its enforced pretty well. I know, I've unfortunately been on the other end of one of those punches..

See the thing is where I'm from, if you use a weapon then you're a punk and deserve what's coming, it's one on one may the best man win and game over, no touch backs, no mulligans. Bare knuckles... me against you and why do we fight this way, because we're smart enough not kill ourselves over something stupid like a bruised ego, but being bullheaded and full of piss and vinegar the fights still ensue, it's just the mortality rates are much lower and I can kiss my wife good morning.

My son is 23yrs old he has never been a fighter or a hardened drinking, on a weekend when he's off work he likes to go out and socialise with his mates, he does not consider himself shit hot and never has. When confronted with a moron throwing insults and attempted punches he retaliates as anyone would do, after the guy was thrown out of the pub my son decides to call it a night himself so he leaves to come home, and their on our property is the guy from the pub slashing my sons car tyres not tires we spell it tyres. My son confronts him they start to fight, the guy has a knife and sticks it in my son, fortunately the blade was short and it just punctured his side, my son got the better of him and gave him a good kicking one he deserved I might add. He did not have time to call the police he was to busy fighting for his life, and although he was under the influence of alcohol he did not instigate this fight nor did he know the guy was carrying a knife. He has never been a punk and as for growing up he is doing what normal 23yr old men do and that is learning about the world and the scum that live in it. I have no idea how old you are or what sort of life you have lead but I'm guessing it was a very sheltered one, have you never been challenged by another person before and had to defend yourself, have you never been drunk and got in a brawl, were you never 23yrs old and gone out with your mates and ran into a mouthy scum bag. No wonder you don't understand what I am saying, he didn't mess with a person with a knife because he didn't know he had one, he didn't start the argument in the pub he was not the one mouthing. The lad got what he deserved.

The police know that the guy was assaulted I'm not sure they know who by yet, they have questioned the neighbours but haven't been round to us, when they do they will get the whole story along with the blade I have in my care with his finger prints on it and my sons blood. What ever they do to this dude it won't deter him again its just a way of life to the smack heads round here, he's not long come out of jail and he was still carrying a knife his sort are a lost cause I'm afraid.
