My youngest son had an altercation in our local pub last night with a guy that lives near us, the argument was broken up by people in the pub and the guy left, my son left 15 minutes later, when my son got to our drive the guy from the pub was slashing his tyres on his car. A fight broke out and the guy used the knife he was slashing the tyres with on my son. My son didn't even know he had been stabbed as he was to busy giving the lad a good kicking, the commotion woke my husband and I and by the time my husband got outside the guy was on conscious. I rang an ambulance for him not knowing my son was injured also it wasn't until he came in the house I realised it wasn't just the guys blood he had on him but his own. He has a puncture wound in his side and deep cuts down his back, after I cleaned him up the wound was not that deep and he refused to go to hospital anyway. We found the knife in the street it was a kitchen knife with the end cut off making the blade smaller thank god, if it had been any longer the wound would have been much deeper. The police did attend but said they would come back today for a statement from my husband as far as I am aware they don't really know what happened as my husband told them he had just found the lad in the street and didn't know who had done it, my son is due to go to Australia in three weeks for a year and he said a conviction would stop him going, the guy obviously hasn't told them who hit him and why as they would have been to my house by now, he's a well known smack head and he obviously carries a knife round with him, what a great start to the weekend!
I got slashed up on my shoulder as I drove a guy into the ground during a full out brawl in my younger days. I too didn't go to the hospital and got a gnarly scar to prove it.
