Looks really good Slipon. The MLing is a great tech, and it looks like you're gonna have a great canopy to flower from. You can tell those are some healthy, happy ladies you have bro. I like the light transition technique, I just don't have the time for it unfortunately(or space I guess), as my girls go in at different times to keep it perpetual. I likle the low stress approach though. Did you say before that you have an apollo led fixture cuase i was looking at those on-line, and they're not a bad price really, and the growblu super ufo's they have are pretty cool too. I seen someone using them on-line, and the growth, and flowers are just phenomenal. Kind of like yours man. Have a great weekend. peace out.

yea well, if I have the option I like to give em a few days to get used to the LEDs (HPS before) before I changes to 12/12

seems a bit drastic to both move em from T5HOs to stronger light and cut the hours (and this time also a lot of work/scrog on em)
and since I have a empty ;) grow room I´ll give em a few day`s to "recover" and peak up even more, maybe do a bit more scrog/training before I flip so I just run the small fixture for two hours more in the morning to keep em from entering bloom/the stretch before Im/they are ready

in no hurry, have +4 oz drying as we speak


and yea M-lining seem`s like a great technic, not fare from what I used to do (FIM/LST) just give it a "extra" curve with the short steam and short way for the water/feeding to travel and be divided equal

quite stoked about this run, M-lining/scrog/organic/LEDs, if just the super hot summer temps soon go away Im golden (also a reason to hold back on 12/12) just need em to drop a few from 84-86F

and yes my first fixture is a Apollo or similar, seem`s like a few use this design, most important is that they do use the "real" quality 3W Epistar chips/LEDs and not some fake E-bay fixtures with 1W in em from China (price will often tell) secondly make sure they have a secondary lens technology on em (works like a magnifier glass and make the penetration 3x as effective, remember my rock hard compact lower bud`s on my first run)

if you have the real 3W with the double lenses on and you get a good spectrum (remember I did switch 16 blue LEDs out with 16 more Red`s as I made this to replace my HPS for flowering) you cant go completely wrong

sure there are better fixtures on the market, but there is for sure also a lot worse once out there and it do get the job done
could put it this way, it is not Skoda or hyundai, more like volkswagen, steady and do the job, but Im sure you can find the mercedes out there (like Prospian`s new A-51 light maybe) but Im also sure the end result would be to close to notice maybe like a 400W HPS Vs a 430W dual arc HPS

Great info brother. I really think you're right though about the led differences. I think as long as you have good leds the comparison would be like you said. I'll never forget those rock hard flowers that came out of that first grow man. It's one of the reasons I want to go led in the future. I think the GroBlu super ufo's are really cool, and the Apollo lights are really nice as well, and cover more space than the round ones do. I really like being able to swap out the light clusters if they go bad or you simply want to upgrade, pretty cool. Have a great day bro. Peace out.

yea need to get the real thing, after that its just a choice of company/warranty/shipment aso

but go to cheap and you end up with a chinese ufo that wont be doing any good other then at the top of your X-mass tree

the once with out secondary lenses on em works as well as the once with em, but need to be a bit closer and IMO would work best in a scrog or maybe with a small Auto like the one prospian just finish

actually I do consider what the outcome would be if I grew 12 of them in 1,5 gallon containers in 4 rows under my two fixtures, and started new once a few weeks before harvest under my T5s in Cup`s

seem`s like the Auto`s have come a long way when it come to potency and as Im a big CDB fan and not so much THC they would probably work well for me

that would cost me less then 100$ in seed`s I can buy local

lets see just a idea I played a bit with, could harvest every 40 days or so and the more cost in seed`s would be made up by bigger yield/less power used per crop and it would also be nice to work with small fast finishing plants that don't demand hugh pot`s and "you" also have less time to fuck some thing up


about the GroBlu UFOs I dunno, don't know em, but I have seen some nice quality UFOs out there and IMO UFO´s would probably be the way I would go with the knowledge I have to day, that or the panels like prospian got (A-51) where the LEDs are spread out a bit more, a little like my new panel as LEDs don't spread the light much (also depend on lenses and angle of the LEDs) you need to spread the LEDs out a UFO per plant would work great, keep the plants/UFOs close enough to overlap the lights, if you concentrate all the watts in a 12x20" box/panel you end up with not enough light at the edges and light bleaching in the center of the light so to speak

I know it's a pain to keep up with multiple threads. Plants are looking super healthy. You can't help it, you have a bunch of groupies that want to follow your success. Can't really call it First LED grow anyways, it's at least three LED grows by now?

and yea this must be the 3th grow with the LEDs, really enjoying them, dont think I ever go back to HIDs

and think this might be the best run so fare, plants look super healthy and grow like weed ;)

Nice. Have you figured out what changes were made to improve your results? I understand that adding a new piece of equipment light lighting can take a while to "tweak", but just wondering if you have anything specific to share that caused the improvement.

Good job bro, glad you are happy with the results.

well compared to my first run I moved the LED up a bit (even tho I have one top that is close to the light on this one as well) from 10-12" to 15-18"
I also have plants that are main lined and is maybe 2-4 weeks older and I had no problems really, first run I had a bit of over watering as the LED grow use a bit less water then the 600W grow dose and had to "fix" it with some H2O2 and on my second one I had heat issues with temps up around and over 30C now the heat wave is done I have them perfect 24-26C RH is also nice around 40-50% now

all in all I guess I just had older plants and over all more healthy going in, and Im more used to the LEDs now, when it comes to water/nuts use and distance from the light aso

Interesting. I know with the HID it's about getting it as close as you can without burn, like 10-12" for me. LEDs (good leds) have excellent penetration and are very deceiving because they don't put out the intense heat. It's natural to think that they need to be closer, but from and other LED growers, it's not the case.

Glad things are working out. I will definitely be shutting down the grow after this harvest for at least a year if not two. I'm probably going brew up some beer. Legally, for personal consumption, I can brew up to 200 gal at 4% abv. Of course I will cheat and get it up to what I'm used to drinking at 8-9% abv.

I need a legal hobby, and apparently pot growing and philandering are off my wife "acceptable" list. Ah, to be single again. ;-)

yea no problems getting water in there or explain the time used in there either, a single plant/auto under the LEDs can always be defend with your brewing hamp beer :D
