Animals Getting Stoned And Your Opinions

Ok so i just wanted some peoples take on this, so i have i dog and i usually vape inside my room.

Now i have never intentionally got my dog stoned but as he is usually in the same room as me he is passive smoking/vaping, i dont know if he has actually been stoned before but i guess he might have as my room is quite small and i vape a lot but i always have my window open though.

So my question is that since i obviously cant communicate with him effectively enough to ask him if he want to get high lol is it then unfair for him to get high, even if there is no bad effects. Seeing as he probably doesn't realise than he is getting high ( if he is ) when he is in the same room as me then it might be unpleasant for him as he wont know why he is like that, plus he simply just might not like it.

My dog cries if i leave him he hates being without me so he would really hate being in a cage while i smoke/vape but if he is next to me he might get high without even realising. So i dont know what would be a good but right thing to do? I have thought that since weed is not a strong drug he might hardly notice or he might not mind that much seeing as it probably doesnt do much to him.

you can talk about what you think about getting animals stoned in general, but remember that MY question is talking about UNINTENTIONALLY getting my dog stoned. So should i really try to go out of my way to make sure he's not inhaling second hand vapor and smoke?

I seriously think if they didn't want to be around it they won't. When I smoke a cig by my dogs they move. When I smoke a doob or something they just chill. My dog did get a hold of some brownies one day he was on a spiritual journey to say the least but I have to watch both my dogs they just like cannabis I guess. I read online that a little 15-20 lb dog would have to eat over 300 grams of flowers to actually possibly hurt it.

Currently I have two cats, both persian, that both enjoy watching the weed grow as much as I do. One gets closer to me while I smoke (he's my dude) the other is just a bitch (true to form persian). They both will eat the hell out of my plants if I leave the tent open and unattended. The female recently got in there and destroyed one and I don't know how she got in there? Thru a vent possibly...

Anyways if they didn't like it or knew it was "poisonous" would they still act this way? What does this really say, or what questions does it beg?

I also had a shih tzu that loved my dried nugs! Little shit would jump to grab it out of my hands when I wouldn't be expecting it. He was smart and loved those scooby snax.

I have a Persian cat too, loves to eat bottom leaves off the plants def gotta be careful when she is around. She's over 20 years old so I think it must make her feel better. She would eat the bottom leaves off all my plants if I let her but she would have a lot of plants to go through.

I just took a male down and left it in the trash in my bathroom for her to feed on. She nor the other have touched it. Maybe they don't like males either?!

I had a beagle that when I blew smoke in the air she would chomp at the smoke cloud. Im sure she was getting high because she always looked like she was grinning afterwards.

My dog begs fpr nugs. Then He'll sit right in front of me so i can exhale in his face. Funny thing is, he breathes heavy when I do it. I have never seen such a happy dog before. He's bad ass! Bongsmilie

My old neighbors had this awesome pitbull, just the sweetest dog, any way he would blow smoke into the dogs mouth and the dog would hold the hit in, my other neighbor has a Chihuahua doxie mix, and she once ate a 1/2 oz, holy shit that dog was fucked up for a few days, the first night if you put her down she would spaz out running around barking falling over just all out freak out, she finally started to calm down in my neighbors' arms, passed out with her tongue sticking out her mouth, we kept on pulling on it to see how far it would stretch, long enough to reach my balls, she came out of it ok, but she was stuck on stupid for a few days.

All I will say to this is I got my dogs high when I was young. 15-17 or so.I guess was really my parents dogs. I regret it. If I came home and one of my kids was getting my dogs high now, there would be somebody getting their ass kick.

An animal doesnt have the ability to get high itself, you force that on it.
Though we find this affect and how it interacts with our brain chemistry desireable, does an animal?
How would you know? Assuming your not Ceasar Milan (that is to say assuming that your not COMPLETELY full of shit)
The answer is simply "I cant know".
So essentially you are forcefully subjecting a defenseless sentient entity to this unknown effect, and said entity having discernible medium through which t communicate weather or not this is something it enjoys, abhors, or is indifferent to.

How can one in good moral conscious perpetrate such an action? Is this not tantamount to roofying an unsuspecting individual at a bar, at least from an objective moral standpoint?

i like to look at it like this.. would you get your kid(s) high? if not why not?? or how about slipping someone a roofie? same thing as getting a pet stoned imvho as they don't have a choice in it..
and secondly, who's to say they're enjoying being stoned? oh, they come back for more is what i often here.. ok, on that, my dog ate my $125 light bulb once.. loved it, not a shard left when she was done mind you, must've been tasty and she enjoyed it very much.. would probably have done it again when she was in that stage, but was it healthy for her? eff no, i was worried sick for a week.. animals as smart as they are at times, can make some very stupid decisions, and as pet owners, it should be your responsibility to make the right choice for your pets, and getting them stoned is so not the right choice..
