Since I found this site, Ive seen a major improvement with my plants (thanks guys for all your help) and now with my new confidence:mrgreen:, im taking it a step further. I've got a 600w hps/mh cool tube on the way and now im wondering what to get next. I know theres a long list but what items are most important in the grow (where should most the money be spent)? Im growing in soil but am open to going hydro or possibly other methods in the near future. If you had a few bucks burning a hole in your pocket, lighting taken care of, what would you get next?

I've got some fans already but now that im getting a cooltube I have to get a exhaust fan to flow through it. I like the dehumidifier and co2 idea. Things not part of your average grow, I guess thats what kinda ideas Im really after. The things that seperate the good bud from the great bud. Good ideas already, thanks and please keep em coming

Dude, you don't need any fancy shit to grow great bud. Have you looked in Subcools forum. Go check it out. The guy has worked years to perfect organic growing and produces some AMAZING plants in a room with lights, ventilation and the proper nutrients. Take the time to read what this guy has posted here and learn from someone that is walking the walk!

Best of luck to you!

yes it is. I suggest especially if you are going organic, spending some time researching all of the different products and additives that work well for organic grows. Unless you already have a fantastic compost bin set up you will want a lot of different products throughout your grow. Some things to look into; earthworm castings, bat guano, sea kelp, soils, addititives like bloom, growth, rooting stimulators, mollases or sucanat, and nutrients of course, organic is a whole different monster from chemical growing, and with the right set up you can produce better tasting, possibly stronger plants with the same yields as chemical. It is the yield part that takes people a while to get down. Have a gander at the organics forum and keep in mind that when going organic the idea is to feed the soil not plants. It's all about keeping your good microbes alive and healthy and letting them feed your plants for you, getting the right nutrients ready for your plants to absorb them already broken down and ready to use. Good luck on everything let us know how it goes.

Edit: The reason to spend a lot of time researching is that a lot of companies put out products simply to make money and they are unnecessary, but there are a lot of fantastic products out there that really will help you with organics.

Holy shit I posted a pic! Took me a few tries to figure it out.

Thanks for the feedback regrets, I have done some research and for starters decided to go the Fox Farms route. I got the ocean forrest soil, and the trio of liguid nutes(big bloom, grow big & tiger bloom) Would you say these products are good?

i use FF ocean forest and light warrior blend. My plants LOVE it. You can check out my thread called "new growcab" to see pics. It's in this section.

With this soil mix, you don't have to feed the plants during their veg stage..just water.

Seems a lot of people are using that same blend, what are the added benefits, does it make much of a difference than using OF alone? Ive yet to even open the OF bag, kinda want to save it for the seeds Im waiting for. Ive been using scotts premium potting soil because its cheap and easy to get locally and so far been happy with it. Heres a bagssed plant 6 weeks old in the scotts potting soil, Ive only watered it, no extra nutes and it seems to be nice and healthy so far.
