I have heard FF Ocean forest is rough on seedlings, but excellent to transplant into once they get a bit bigger
Ive heard the same thing, Im not sure what Im going to start my seeds in yet, Ive had good results with several types of cheap soils, as well as bad results with others. Recently I tried out the jiffy peat pellets and they seem to work well for me, I know others havent had good results with them but I like to experience things for myself. Sometimes I find that what doesnt work for some people works just fine for me. Its all part of the learning process. Any suggestions on soil/medium that seedlings love? I may just try the OF with some bagseed first to see the results for myself.

Rapid rooters!!! those things are the best... If I dint have tons of A-ok rockwool starters laying around Id be using them too.

I have lots of rockwool for my clones but never tried using it for seeds, do you germ the seeds in the RW or wait till they've popped? Oh and by the way, i checked out your grow, HOLY SHIT! And I didnt realize you were female, damn thats hot!

You can do it either way on the germing, if you do decide to let em germ outside the rockwool, use jewlers tweezers to put them into it, because you should never touch the seed directly.

Happy Frog is fine for seedlings. It's a milder version of OF, something like OF cut with light warrior. I add some perlite and extra lime and grow with that. You can leave out the amendments for seedlings.

Cheepest seed starter is 60-40 mix of vermiculite and perlite.
Fill little plug flats with the moistened mix and plant your soaked seeds.

Works for cloning, too. Rapid rooters do better for cloning, though.
