Yikes.... good eye , I couldn't tell what kind of light they were trying to promote with those weird pics..... not a big fan of that design, i got the email because i had ordered the mag plus when it first came out lol

I wouldn't count these out yet guys.. they might be very good for veg setups, possibly flower. but I have a SOL 200 watt, and the design they made, I can't say that with the other models as they don't have the same reflector, but this thing spreads light very far, the 200 would do good over a 3x3 tray I am confident to say right now. I think the efficiency lies in being able to get the light so close, as the light spreads so far out.. not something up high losing light when it reached your plants

I would give pics to show the incredible spread, but my camera is dead, and battery is in storage..


let's remember, the future might lie in multi chip setups. maybe not like this, maybe more... all I can say is there is potential definitely for veg tents. flower , it might spread the light to far, and maybe you might get bleaching if you run it to close to get the light in your area, which obviously the 200 watt SOL should be used in a 2x2 tent, 3x3 for flower is stretching it..

Hi RIU peeps. Well I see this thread is a bit complex at 121 pages as of this posting.

Can anyone (with +rep and is not from a MFG) chime in on what led panels or systems would be good for a small 4x4 grow?

My last grow i had journaled on another forum but that was a few years ago and i see not alot of recient activity of new posts there, but see alot of activity and seemingly knowledgeable posts being addressed here on RIU and I am close to starting another grow very shortly and plan on making a grow diary of the attempt as i have done b4. just need to get things setup and figured out first. and hopefully soon get things growing.

Keep firing assholes!!!! lol fucking love that movie. one LED light you guys should check out is the Solar Flare and Solar Storm by http://www.californialightworks.com. they seem pretty awesome from what I've seen and I've been looking up alot of them. the Solar Storm even has UVB bulbs on the sides.

Dutch Heritage Greenhouse Selects LumiGrow Pro 325™ LED Greenhouse Lights

LumiGrow announced today that Dutch Heritage Greenhouse, a leading provider of chrysanthemums and other cut flowers, chose 60 LumiGrow Pro 325™ LED greenhouse lights for its Chilliwack, British Columbia facility. By using Pro 325™ LED greenhouse lights instead of high intensity discharge (HID) lamps, Dutch Heritage Greenhouse will gain higher plant yields and reduce lighting-related electrical costs by half.

Dutch Heritage Greenhouse selected LumiGrow LED lights for the reason that they are the only lighting products owning these features: ability to improve crop yields, compact hardware footprint to allow more sunlight to reach the plant canopy, lowest operating costs due to energy-efficient operation, and maximum red and blue PAR light output.

In the winter season, Dutch Heritage Greenhouse paid ten times electricity bill as much as that in summer. These higher costs are entirely due to the high cost of operating HID lights to supplement lower light levels in winter. Using LumiGrow LED lights in Dutch Heritage Greenhouse will reduce electrical consumption by 60 percent comparing to HID lights. What’s more the LumiGrow LED lights need much less maintenance costs.

LumiGrow CEO Kevin Wells said, “The Dutch Heritage Greenhouse team rigorously researches, evaluates and implements techniques to improve crop performance and increase greenhouse efficiencies.” Mr. Wells added, “We’re very pleased that our LED greenhouse lights are selected by them.”
