I hope you have at least one to harvest, but they should be growing pistils by now if they were in fact female View attachment 2682677
This is one of my babies at exactly seven days in flower.
Hey SeedlessRyda, thanks for your feedback. I know secretly in my heart you are probably right, but am still firmly in denial mode at the moment. Do you think the fact they are only under fluro's could mean they get their pistils a little later? I can't bear it...

Can take 2 weeks or more to force flower on occasion. Happened to me, don't give up yet.

Edit: mine are under CFLs, just fyi.

Seriously, I just looked at your pics, looks good to me. The one under the magnifier is most certainly a female, and those "balls" in the other pics could just s easily be female parts, since that's exactly how they start in preflower. Wait for it to spit out two tiny white hairs

Thanks for your kind words CuriousKinds. I sincerely hope you are right. I have just been staring at them for about the last 20 mins, willing them to sprout pistils...nothing doing. Although....if I squint real hard, I am sure I can see maybe the teeniest, tiniest hair coming out of one of them...but that could just be wishful thinking and my terrible eyesight.

I was never one to playing the waiting game well.

...I can't see a damn thing!

God it sucks getting old and going blind!

I am trying to stay positive but it becomes increasingly difficult as the hours slip by...balls, balls, BALLS.

(deep sigh)

yeah, I would wait it out, go beyond 2 weeks... once clusters of balls form, then u defiantly have a male, keep your eyes on top looking for white hairs (good), and a couple nodes down looking for anything that looks like a cluster of balls. Don't worry about them pollinating, it takes time for them to mature and bust open. if you do happen to have male(s), take them out of the room softly to chop them else ware so your careful to not bust anything with a hard shake or a drop, or a ninja kick lol.

...stuck in the middle with you.

Play to distract from the bad news.

So the jury is out, on two of them at least.

T'is a sad, sad day in London Town. Even with my very limited, some would say non-existent, experience, I am pretty sure that both Shirley and Grace are Hermies. Ungrateful little minxes.

Whilst Droopy Pearl appears to not be...yet. I can't actually bring myself to say she's def female. At this stage let's just say she hasn't revealed herself as Hemie, but there's always tomorrow...

Here is the photo evidence. Please feel free to tell me I got it wrong...anytime...just jump right in, don't be shy.

So, to the sounds of Steelers Wheel I give you Shirley/Stephen:

DSC02540.jpgDSC02541.jpgDSC02542.jpg

And her/his balls...what a shame...

DSC02545.jpgDSC02548.jpgDSC02547.jpgDSC02543.jpg

Grace/Gary...

DSC02529.jpgDSC02530.jpgDSC02531.jpg

The balls.

DSC02535.jpgDSC02534.jpg

And my only remaining hope...Pearl.

DSC02536.jpgDSC02537.jpgDSC02549.jpgDSC02539.jpg

So, the big question...what do I do now? Do I pluck all the balls off? Do I get some of that Reverser stuff? Do I get rid of them ()?

Feeling quite despondent.

Get those far away from Pearl, as fast and gently as possible.
Oh SHIT! Really? Like now? They're asleep..can it wait until the morning? I don't want to stress out Pearl even more and turn her Hermie as well.

I'm having heart palpitations. I'm doomed.......

Chill... Nothing is gonna happen. They are just weeds. They can wait till the morning.

On a personal note, i would advise you not to "defoliate" so much from now on(maybe just a little if really necessary)... and I am suprised no one advised you sooner about this... It might be tempting to defoliate(such a beautiful word) but what you are actually doing is hurting your little babies... Think of the leaf as being the powerplant for your plant... It uses the leaf to make food for itself by photosynthesis... well... if you remove those what do you think it is going to happen? That is like starving the plant... the food is there(light, nutrients) but the plant can only process so much because it doesn"t have the proper "tools" aka leaves. And it has to spend precious energy on growing new seats of leaves. Also during flowering the leaves are the first to turn yellow. Why do you think is that? Because the plant is using the last of its energy and stored nutrients to make buds... it redirects energy from leaves to Buds. What happens when you dont have enough to diverge? You have a poor harvest.

Like you... I also had my share of mistakes... I'm still making them :D. But the secret to all of this is not to over do it. This plant has been growing for milions of years all by itself. Just a little attention should be enough. Hey! Why do you think they call it WEED? It grows everywhere.

All the best of luck with your grow

Actually, its quite typical for indoor gardeners to remove, or prune off, large fan leaves that would otherwise be blocking light to the inner nodes. Not everybody just throws their plants outside, and they need to make the most of their lighting in this manner.

Damn, sorry about that Lady H, but I see more balls there than in a ping pong factory.

Don’t worry, at this early stage they can't pollinate anything, so you have time to think up a strategy or research the best options for you.

If you have a male, then you will toss that out.

Don’t know the procedure with a hermie.

Ahhhhh, Herb Man, despite the gravity of the situation, you make me laugh. Ping Pong? I feel like I'm in the mens locker room...blinkin' balls everywhere. I can't move for balls! But I'm putting on a brave face (smirks).

This morning I got up and quite literally thought "Fuck it, I'm not giving up that easily". I have invested too much love and attention on those 'Girrrrrls.

So I ordered some of that Dutchmaster Reverse stuff. Delivery tomorrow. Ball removal tonight. It may well be a 'Snake Oil' product designed just to lure in the inexperienced newbie (me), but I've spent a few hunge (hundred) and 7 weeks (today) on this so far anyway, whats another £15 quid? I'm up for a fight!

C'mon balls, come and have a go if you think you're hard enough.

On a side note, Pearl is looking good and appears to be loving the fact that she now has all the lights to herself.

Gotta go, have a million balls to remove.

Ok, so I am bored of that already.
Do you have any idea how tedious it is trying to pick balls off?
This is how far I got...

DSC02554.jpg

And then I spotted one with what looks like hairs coming out....

DSC02552.jpgDSC02556.jpg

What does that mean? If they are Hermies then I suppose they show both characteristics...yes? No?
Anyway, that combined with my boredom, halted ball removal. Reversal stuff arrives tomorrow. I'm going to reverse the shit out of Shirley and Grace.

As always, comments gratefully received.

That's the spirit. Sometimes you've just got to take it on the chin Lady H.

Good to see you fighting back though.

Never had a hermie, so I will stay tuned in to see how this reverse stuff plays out, you have nothing to lose.

You are going to come out of this experience older, wiser and with dramatically improved ball handling skills.

I'm gonna smoke up some of this homegrown OG Kush for you and send some positive energy your way :joint:

Now you're taunting me (hehehe). What with your 'never had a Hermie' and your smoking your very successfully homegrown OG Kush...only kidding. Was it lovely? Can I come round for a puff? I may get a nice little Henry off Pearl if I'm lucky.

But you're right about my ball skills...they've already improved enormously, even since last night. I'm going double handed this evening...

Anyway. Reverse update imminent. Stay tuned Herbs. x

Oh, and I almost forgot...they were 7 weeks old yesterday.

Here is Pearl @ 51 days today. No signs of any pre-flowers on Pearl - male or female.
