Here Come the Girls - a First Timer's Adventure

The little ladies are 5 weeks old today (day 36).

They look good to me. Survived the hot water watering I gave them last night (if it doesn't kill you, it only makes you stronger - go thermo-girls!)...except Pearl isn't looking too happy. She's very droopy. Any ideas? She was droopy before the hot watering, so it's not that. I thought it was because she needed a drink, but she stayed the same.

Thanks mate. I do hope so!
Good news - Pearl has recovered over-night last night.

P.S. Thanks for the reps...(only just learnt what that means...)

It's a big day today.

I'm going to switch them over to 12/12...eek.

Have also had to move them to a new home. Couldn't keep them in my bedroom any longer, so after much deliberation about where would be the best place for them to go, I decided on my ensuite bathroom.

I know, I know...

No closet grow for my little ladies - only an ensuite bathroom will do. Hehehe...

Plus it keeps them near to me. I will miss not having them in the bedroom and exchanging energy with them all night while I sleep.

Anyway, it's day 39 since I planted the germinated seeds. Here they are:

Grace @ day 39 - 25/05

Shirley @ day 39 - 25/05

DSC02417.jpgDSC02418.jpgDSC02419.jpg
And Pearl @ day 39 - 25/05

Pearl still doesn't look quite right - I just don't know what's up with her...

Here is their new home - the Ensuite.

DSC02425.jpgDSC02426.jpgDSC02427.jpgDSC02428.jpg

So, I'm turning off the lights at 8pm...

Have no idea what's going to happen next but can't frickin' wait.

Why is pearl being a lazy bitch? Is it drinking as much as normal?
I do not know BUDS.

From day 1 they have all had exactly the same water and nutrients - and I've only given them nutes twice because the first time Pearl got THe CLAW. Now she's droopy if I don't water and she's droopy when I do water...so have no idea.

Was looking at some problem thread today and maybe it's calcium deficiency but what the fuck do I know....

It's Bank Holiday Monday.
Day 41 (day 2 of 12/12).

The girls seem happy enough in their new abode, and no noticeable changes since switching them over to 12/12 - although is is early days (very early days).

But there is definitely something up with Pearl. I just don't know what. All sorts of possibles - any Doctors out there?

See how much they have regrown since I defoliated a few days ago.

Little Gracie @ day 41 - I love the 'from above' shots.

DSC02439.jpgDSC02440.jpgDSC02441.jpgDSC02442.jpg
Shirley "This One Goes to Eleven" @ day 41 - I'm sure I can see 11 top thingys there. She def responded to my attempts at LST the best.

DSC02435.jpgDSC02436.jpgDSC02437.jpgDSC02438.jpg
And Problem Pearl @ day 41 - looking all droopy and sorry for herself. She looks good from the top tho.

Finally, I just had a friend over from NYC to stay and she got me this little thank you gift...

It's day 45 today and 6 days since I switched them over to 12/12.

They don't seem to have stretched much...

But since I last defoliated them they have got super bushy, so I did it again tonight.

Shirley @ day 45 - pre defoliation

DSC02458.jpgDSC02459.jpgDSC02461.jpg
Grace @ day 45 - pre defoliation. Look at her, she's like a little bushy shrub.

DSC02465.jpgDSC02466.jpgDSC02468.jpg
And finally, droopy Pearl @ day 45 - pre defoliation. She maybe droopy, but look at her from above. Gorge.

Here they are post defoliation.

DSC02478.jpgDSC02474.jpgDSC02475.jpgDSC02481.jpg
Shirley, Grace & Pearl...and their leaves.

And today I removed Shirl's bandages. Have a look at how she healed. Amazing.

DSC02470.jpgDSC02471.jpgDSC02472.jpg

And last, but not least, is this something to get excited about (6 days into 12/12)?

Nice grow so far, You def have some great green thumb skills.
Blimey, do you really think so?
Thanks Redbud, it good to get some feedback.
I think it's down to the OMs and the defoliation as opposed to my green thumbs, but who knows?! I'm just excited watching them grow.
Stay tuned. x

Are my 'Girls' growing balls?

It's a week today since I switched to 12/12 and they look very healthy. And there's something growing but I don't know what it is.

Is it too early to tell? Or are my Ladies actually LadyBoys? Am a bit scared to know the answer....

I think I saw balls in all three pics LH. I might be wrong and I hope I am. So lets not be too hasty now, nothing is gonna happen right away (pollen).

Just leave em be and see over the next few days if these areas increase in balls, then you will know for sure that you have the dreaded dingly, dangly, jangly balls.

At that point you will escort them from your property.

Ahhhhh, Herb Man, say it ain't so....

Generally speaking, I like a man with balls. However, on my supposed-to-be-female plants, not so attractive. As you said there is a certain dread attached to the arrival of the "dingly, dangly, jangly balls" (nice terminology).

Having spent the last 47 days (1,128 woman hours) living and breathing with them, watching them grow, I will be most upset to find out they have 'revolted'.

Keep your fingers crossed that I don't have to escort them from the property! It will be a sad, sad day...

Let's talk about you and me...let's talk about all the good things, and the bad things, that may be, let's talk about sex....

Yeah, I might be singing but I'm not very happy. Everything's going tits-up.

As you may or may not know, my 'girls' (using the term loosely at the mo for obvious reasons) are currently living in my ensuite bathroom. The lights are on a timer to come on at 8am and off at 8pm. So went to bed last night and no light seeping from the bathroom door. Woke up a couple of hours later and the light was on! :wall:

Jay-sus! What's going on?! I'm sure giving possible Hermies extra light ain't a good thing?

So my 'girls' are growing bollocks and the lights are doing their own thing - great.

I spent what felt like forever yesterday looking at pics of male vs female pre-flowers and I'm still not certain. Veering from being absolutely convinced that they are Hermies (bastards), to being absolutely convinced they are still little Ladies. So I will just have to wait and see.

My sex question is - what do I do with a Hermie? Can I chop it's balls off (sorry lads)? Will I still get some bud or should I cut my loses and start again? Feels a bit rotten to get rid of them.

Keep your fingers crossed for me fellow Adventurers...

OK, despite being in the middle of a wait-and-see-potential-hermaphrodite-sitch...I thought I'd update with photos.

I am, of course, in denial and refuse to believe that my 'girls' are in fact chicks-with-dicks.

It's day 47 since I planted them little beauties and day 8 of 12/12.

They have finally had a little stretch, nearly touching the lights so will have to move them up for the first time. Yee-haw! I'd be throwing my hat in the air if it weren't for The Sitch.

Here they are, the little minxes...

DSC02505.jpgDSC02506.jpgDSC02507.jpg
Shirley @ day 47 - I'm sure I can count 19 tops...any advances on 19? (please don't have balls, please don't have balls...)

DSC02511.jpgDSC02512.jpgDSC02513.jpg
Pearl @ day 47 - 12 tops? And not quite so droopy. I did nearly snap one of her tops off again the other day, more emergency duct-tape surgery required but I kept quiet about that one....hehehe

DSC02514.jpgDSC02515.jpgDSC02516.jpg
And Gracie @ day 47 - 13 tops?

Don't think I want to post anymore ball shots. :-(

Here's a close-up of one of Grace's tops instead.

DSC02522.jpg

And finally, a couple of glamorous group shots.

DSC02527.jpgDSC02528.jpg

Bye for now. Lady H x
