Supercropping and Canopy Control

I finally managed to capture one of the plants in a single photo. The grow closet is in a small room itself, so can't back off any further to take a pic. They are nearly 38 inches now. Nearly double of what I would have with a scrog. I cut away quite a few branches that aren't going to make it or just make it too full. One of the reasons they stretched so much is because it's too full, so individually not getting enough light and go stretch in search for more.

It's quite amazing that the canopy is still so nicely leveled after all this stretching - even if I say so myself :-o Especially considering the one in the middle in the back is nearly a week older.

Stumbled on some nice rubber-ish binding material, which I used to pull some branches down. Still rearranging things every day. Looks good now though, fairly even divided. Would be better if I could reach the back corners but my arms aren't that freakishly long. Still way too packed so some if it will have to go else I'll get too much popcorn. Should have gone with 4 plants or veg like 5 days less.

Nice damn job brother! How many girls? And you're using a 600w right?
Using a light rail or nah? Everything looks perfectly happy bossman!

Lekker :weed:

Thanks man. :)

There are 2 more plants on the left side, they've been sort of pushed in the corners (around the corner, can't capture them in photo frame), like the plant on the right (that's the Kollosus, rest is Liberty Haze). So 6 plants in total. At least a quarter of the canopy is from the plant in the back though (the one from the fat stem /tree like picture earlier).

Yes 600w (one for farming not for street lighting, so more umol and more complete spectrum) and no light rail. The 600watt should cover 4x4 while my closet is a little less than 4x3. The reflector/hood kinda sucks but it takes up little space itself. Since my plants stretched so much I would like to use this one instead: article17028843.jpg as it's designed to go deeper.

Remember what you said about getting ideas while high in the sound proofing thread? Well, I had one of those too. Since I moved the exhaust to the outside of the closet, in its own little closet/box, I was thinking I perhaps could do the same with the filter, at least partly, and even the lamp. Like the top on an aquarium but smaller than the ceiling. :eyesmoke:

Nice boss! Did I tell you I just bought a 600 a couple days ago?! A tent too! And I got a hood similar to one of those! It's air cooled.
But being where you are, I figure you need that ambient heat huh? Or could use it without a prob.
And makes since given the girth on that trunk that it makes up a majority of the canopy..

And a "highdea" haha! Hell yeah! Sound like a plan to me! Going thru my first run bro, I changed my setup at least 10 times lol just between upgrading and trying to maximize the lighting footprint lol. So I feel ya for sure!
I hope I'm able to run both my 400 and 600 together and cool them adequately. If not, I'll just run the 6! It's BRIGHT AS HELL!

I'm gearing up for the next run brother. Getting my ducks lined up!

Ps, how tall would you say your girls are? The look pretty leggy below!

Hey man, good news on the 600 watt, I've seen what do can do with 400watt so you should be getting some awesome frosty nuggets with 600watt.

And yeah I do need that ambient heat, at least for now. Maybe not during July and August but many small indoor growers just skip those few 'weeks' of good weather we get here. It's too much now though, not enough space between the lamp and plants directly below it, just noticed some minor damage, replaced the ropes the lamp was hanging on, now it's directly attached to the ceiling. No more space to go up.

I think I'm going to try a few other things before making a hole in the ceiling or raising it entirely. (I can lower the trays with some effort for like a whole inch :D )

Ps, how tall would you say your girls are? The look pretty leggy below!
Nearly a meter, about 38 inch. The pots are 3" diameter.

I love my little mj jungle but it's definitely not at all what I was going for. It's largely from underestimating hydro power. I think the canopy will actually lower while the buds grow, from the weight. Will probably have to use at least another 20 yards of binding rope to keep things in place. Frankly I'm enjoying the lesson and in a way it's a luxury problem. They are so long and flexible that I can move them around quite a bit.

Another highdea I had was using bamboo sticks to weave the canopy into rows of bud sites. Maybe something for the next run, problem is I wouldn't be able to properly attach them at the back as I can't reach it anymore. :joint:

Good luck with and enjoy your next run!

well lads got a couple little ones going again under a 250cfl. havin problems with my 1st time hydro aswell so im thinking about keeping my little 3x3 as a veg room then the 4x4 where the hydro is for a flowering room and with me training them i be to keep light low enough to move some in every couple weeks...

that way i either lose my veg lot or my flowering lot which wont be much as a loss as i will have sum either nearly ready or ready to flower!!!

so here my pics anyway
1st is 2 not so healthy bluberry same as whats in my hydro (maybe thats a sign of the bad start with it aswell)
2nd is a bb psycho killer lemon pheno
3rd is a bb dog
and last 2 are of a bb psycho killer aswell but not the lemon pheno

not really arsed about the blue berry as im going to get few pips aswell

2 Blue Dream up front, 1 Pakistani Punch, my cross, in back.

My outdoor for the season. I used LST on the 3, and topped two of them once when I couldn't get the main terminal to slow down enough to get even thickness between the new branches.

Pakistani Punch!

Nice J! Lookin' VERY HAPPY! I need some of that Blue Dream lol. Some of my FAVORITE smoke!
Thanks man, I'm very pleased with my plant's health as of lately. Blue Dream has consistently been a fantastically performing plant. Grows well, clones well, smokes well, tough as nails. I scored 2 real deal Girl Scout Cookies (Thin Mint pheno) today!! I think she'll be my new favorite over the Blue Dream, as long as she doesn't herm on me! 50 bucks for 2 well established cuts, that is not fucking bad at all for growing rights on GSC! Not to mention they are beautiful, I'll post up some picks once I got some training on them, or some flowers.

Great work everyone! i'm a little late on the update of my ladies lol
i didn't supercrop too much just some minor bending with braches out to spread them and allow more light in rather than bending the branch right over.
1 week and 6 days since the first hairs appeared. kinda wish i vegged them a week or 2 longer but no worries.
The plant back right was a runt of a seedling that i kept and is noticably smaller than the others but bud formation dosn't seem to be an issue.
