I have not read this entire thread, so maybe this has been said...

Compost tea is the "secret ingredient" use by growers of vegetable monstrosities like baseball-sized Brussels sprouts and 1,000-lb pumpkins.... Another gardening niche that's focused on oranically supercharging plants....

Whew! How's the N in the Alfalfa treat you? Not too hot, evidently. All sounds pretty awesome! I use most of that also.

What kind of recipe are you using for your teas Sincerely? Just EWC and molasses?
Check the organic soil link out in my sig and get back to me with your questions boss!
But to answer your question as concisely as possible, I use a variety of things bro!

I'd use EWCs as the base of the teas during veg, but during flower I flip to using compost as a base.
To those EWCs or compost I add a few things, but never use the same recipe over and over, just to keep things diverse.
I add kelp meal from start to finish, which is good for potassium, growth hormones, minerals nutrition, and fungi, and surface area for microbes(mainly fungal strands).
I use hi P bat guano during flower, as it suppresses bad nematodes, brings mineral nutrition and is high in P.
I use Neptune harvest fish hydro which is good for fungi and bacteria, hi in p, and and already soluble N, so it works right away.
I use unsulphured molasses to feed the microbes. It's high in potash and cal amongst other things, but must be used in moderation because its nutrient rich..

These are thing things I use most often, but I experiment from time to time as well.
ive thrown hi cal lime, Azomite, and mycos in on the occasion to see what would happen.
they seemed to like the shot of hi cal lime, so maybe I'll try it once or twice again during the next run!
& I'll be using alfalfa meal here soon as well, but only during veg! :peace:

the kelp and the alfalfa can slow things up a bit, so if I were you I'd cut the amount of kelp I added in half bro.
im also guessing your brewing by the 5 gal? If so it looks a little heavy...
How have ur results been?
maybe I can up my ant if u have good results!

i had a bad experience using too much molasses as well..used in excess in the teas, it has the potential to be very nute rich!
And I wonder how the also works for the leaves from the inside out??

Got any threads going?

No threads going.. I only used this recipe this past grow I have only had a couple of organic harvests ( hydro guy for years) .. I grew White Fire OG and I didnt notice anything out of the ordinary. What I'm trying to say is I'm the most knowledgeable organic guy just learning from various threads and web sites..I didnt notice any nute burn or anything like that. At first I used too much alfalfa and kelp, and was told by you guys to cut back so I did. How much kelp do you recommend ?? I'm about to start another grow in the coming days. I'm all ears so any tips or honest criticism is welcome. I forgot to mention I use the Cap Bennies too.. Nute , root , and Foilar.. I'm thinking about stopping that shit because those fools charge too much for their bennies..

Yes 5 gallon bucket with a few air stones.. Using a good ol' powerful air pump... Cut all the ingredients in half? Thanks by the way.
