water question

should i blow the fan on to the plant now?.
Under the plant a few inches, or over a few inches... Don't point it at them ever if its not a light oscillating fan.

Increase perlite and throw a little sand in your soil mix if this happens, sounds to me like too many fine particles compacting together without any bigger mediums to break it up. A worm or two can also make a difference, But should not be added until late Veg- early flower.
I have three... And a box fan... None of them point at my plants, they point at walls.
And give all of us struggling to help you some likes and rep man, you gotta share some love when you get it lol.
Well some good advice would help...lol..no offense...I point a 24 inch box fan right on my babies, makes for a strong stalk to hold the weight of them colas...and I use a 60% soil and 40% perlite mix for good drainage and to prevent root rot...and never never add sand to your mix...have you ever seen a pot plant growing on a sand dune??? Didn't think so, you might wana try vermiculite instead, but peronally I don't like that either....keep them lights close, with fan blowing right on them (not on high at first) cuz this will let you put those lights about an inch or two from her she will fatten up without the stretch...good luck and welcome to RIU both of you..:bigjoint:

You don't need anything more than some air movement this early in the plants life. Don't put a stronger fan on her until she is bigger.

PC fan should be fine for now.

The plant is an inch tall?!? It is not ready for full force wind man, but to each his own. I've been told by all of the growers I know personally that fans go above or below on seedlings. Other than that you gave all the same advice I did, minus sand... Which is very much a growers opinion. I'm not saying use fine ass play sand, but I put a cup of coarse sand in about every three gallons of soil and I'm not the Only one who does. Especially if you make your own soil blend, or conpost and recycle soil. I also throw about a cup of Vermiculite in every 3gal. Obviously you're not smoking enough Afghani-blend if you don't think sand is good for your girls lol. Seriously though, there is sand in almost every soil base in the world, its there even if the amounts are small.

my baby is 7 days old now since it broke the soil hopefully 2nd set of leafs will start to grow now aswell but i think the roots grow first before the plant itself.

And anything that will stress it out after its second week of vegetation. That's why you're not purpose to trim, FIM, or top during weeks 3 and 4 of Veg before flower.
I topped my current plant at 23 days into veg.

26 days later

Today is the 14th day of 12/12 if you're wondering.

BTW it's a feminized seed and yes it's a female. Didn't stress what so ever as you think it would. Also, I'm going to trim off all the undergrowth in a few days as I always do. Why do you want rep when you have no idea what you're talking about?

Correct, in the beginning of the seedlings life, it will put most of its energy into root growth.

The first couple days seem to go agonizingly slow with leaf growth, but every bit of leaf put out will increase her growth rate.

Yep, the more leaves it has the faster it will grow. The first 7-10 days are painfully slow.

So you're basically saying a seed is neither male nor female rather what you do when it grows determines it's sex? lolol I have a bridge I want to sell you. Nothing is 100% dummy, I don't think anyone is saying that. You have a better chance of getting a female from a feminized seed than you would growing regular. Given you have a 50/50 chance of getting female growing regular seeds.

I never once said your chances were not better... Not one time did I even mention that because I know as well as everyone else that it significantly ups your chances. What I said is that fem seeds are not one hundred percent guaranteed to be female and that the argument has been made repeatedly by much wiser people than any of us that early growth factors play just as significant a role as genetic predisposition. And I am not wrong. 80 degree weather at 7 days old can Hermi, and even force a male from a fem seed. Apparently I'm not the one who needs to read.

There is a guy in my cfl thread that I KNOW is bmeat. Kind of annoying. killachris. He has the same pots as bmeat did and growing same plants.

Then he keeps giving "advice" about nute burn when obviously my plant has a deficiency.

I'm kind of blown away by how many young arrogant people come here and lose control of their fingers. Maybe you're not bmeat but you type/act/respond exactly like him.

Cliff notes: he got banned. I'm sure you're going to walk the same path based on the things you've already posted here in such a short time.

It's funny how you are in somebodies thread pretending like you know everything yet you don't know if your plant is male or female. BTW they are male.

I know my plant is a male you can't read better than anyone else who looked at the thread. I wanted to know if one specific detail was male related and everyone and their Damn mother jumped up just like you and said "ah doy that one der haz da balls errrr". An issue that still hasn't been resolved for me because the people that could actually help are all high up in their palaces looking down at the rest of us. You'll notice that this whole thread got to where it is because the mistake was so novice they thought they should criticize a silly question rather than answer it and the follow-up questions. I've done nothing but read about growing Mary-Jane for eight long-ass months now. I've put enough time in to help out those I can, where as you've probably put in enough time to help everyone but you'd rather condescend. If I get banned oh well, but at least I'm going to do everything I Damn well can to help someone out before I do.

I also throw about a cup of Vermiculite in every 3gal.
That would be about a 2% ratio, almost insignificant and certainly ineffective.

After reading your recommendations throughout this thread I can tell you know nothing about what you are trying to talk (cuss) about.

So this is still my very first grow, and even though I really messed up the temps from the beginning I'm still holding out that one of my four plants will endure to be female. Just to be sure, so I don't kill any precious ladies, I've taken some pics of the male I'm about to pull to ask some questions. Phone Camera did not want to work with me today, so please bare with me. Okay, first picture I have two red circles around what I believe are Male Preflowers. If this is the case, and only males will develop little-tiny-round-green offshoots (Just below/on the outside of the center of the node) then I have two males for certain. The next two pictures are what I believe to be developed male flowers, or Balls. I circled them all with black circles, and just want confirmation that I'm not insane, those will never be female flowers. If I'm right, it is off with two heads tonight. (I'm over a week into 12/12 after 2 months Veg, so It should be time to spot the males, yes??)
Albert Einstein couldn't understand that. You have terrible sentence structure. You expect someone to decipher that? You didn't even ask a question, it's basically you ranting about how you think you know they are maybe male.

Questions end with question marks dummy. The only question mark in your thread's OP was at the very end
so it should be time to spot the males, yes??
Given that is the only real question you asked the answer is yes, by 2 weeks into 12/12 your plant should be showing sex.
