Open Season on Illegal Immigrants

LOL, you just have well quoted the NY Times or an AP liberal written article.
The farmer hired people on probation to do the work. I'm sure they would be most comfortable at home watching tv and moving on to the next court appointed job.

This is the point Buck.
We have to get legal workers working again.
I've worked shit jobs when I was young and built myself up. Pretty much what we are supposed to do as laborers.
The USA needs to get rid of these illegals and start to rebuild itself.
Is Obama gonna do it?
Hell NO.
they had to bus in parolees and probationers and prisoners.

and they all quit.

and the crops rotted in the field.

and all of your whiny pussy protestations don't change recorded history.

Being on probation they had the right to quit and did.
Crops are going to rot, animals will go to waste but we need to wake up and start working.
No more gangster government.

The peaches, peanuts and pecans were hurt but the Mennonites kicked ass last year. Most of them around here grow for major companies like DelMonte and Campbell's and are not afraid of hard work at all. The longer I live here and interact with this group of people the more appreciation and respect I have for those crazy cultists. They are really good, honest, dedicated people and seem to be loving life.

But yeah, the illegals crackdown had a negative effect overall on the state's economy. At least short term it did.
According to a recent report by CNN's Gary Tuchman, the FLDS is removing minor children from school to, in many cases, travel across state lines, for the purpose of laboring long hours on a pecan farm, harvesting nuts. Also according to this report, the children are performing these agricultural job functions for no pay. While federal child labor laws do allow minor children to perform this type of work during non school hours on family owned farms, they specifically prohibit children under 14 from such activities during school hours on non family owned farms.

Sabrina Steele is accusing Pope's Plant Farm in Greenback, Tenn. of discouraging her from taking a job so the farm could hire foreign workers. Pope's Plant Farm applied to the Department of Labor in November of 2007 for 75 foreign worker visas. The foreign workers would work 40 hour work weeks for $8.65 an hour.
Under the H-2A visa program, employers who anticipate a labor shortage can apply for temporary agricultural workers.
Steele said Mike Pope told her she could have a job, but she would have to work an 80 hour work week and she'd be the only English-speaking American employee besides the office staff.

"I also learned that in the clearance order, the work offered to temporary foreign workers was for 40 hours a week," she wrote. "If the work offered to me had been the same as that offered to the temporary foreign (and apparently mostly male) workers, I would have accepted."
Steele works on her family farm and has two elementary school-aged children. She was looking for supplemental income and was referred to Pope's Plant Farm by the Tennessee Careers Center in December of 2007.
After her story ran in a local newspaper, she was contacted by Melody Fowler-Green who is a lawyer with a nonprofit firm that provides legal services to migrant agricultural workers. The group filed a claim on her behalf alleging that Steele was discriminated against because she is an American citizen. Steele said that she decided to go through with the suit after hearing of others that had been discriminated against because they were American citizens.

"But these employers have to hire the people that apply because we need the income here," Steele said. "We have too many people that are losing their homes every day, and if they're willing to do the work, I think they should have the opportunity to do the work."
In 2007, the government issued 50,791 H-2A visas. There is no cap to the number of visas issued, but the program is hard for employers to use.

so she wanted more money, applied for a job, didnt get it, and is suing for money?

theres something odd about this woman and the story. if shes a mom with 2 kids and is only looking for supplemental cash, why would she apply for a full time position?

also how can she say he discriminated against her for being American if he has American workers, which she said he has.

a few things dont add up.

Yes she wanted more money was experienced and was discriminated against by scum who would rather have the privilege of taking advantage of foreign workers. A couple of American workers were doing the office work. Oh and shes real odd because she wanted to work and needed money ...Maybe we should ship in starving Africans they may work for 5 dollars a day and bring down food prices farther....fucking moron.

Well maybe you are right because a agency that advocates for migrant farm workers is helping her with her case that is now 4 years old

When I get home. I'll post 3 visas Canadians can get to come here and work measured in weeks. No PhD needed
Maybe that has to do with Canadians not wanting to move here. If canadians were pouring over the border illegally by the millions, it would take them a lot longer to come here legally.

Why do you hate diversity?

yeah, people are just dying to do the jobs that illegals are doing.

just ask the farmers in georgia

moron.
I'd rather ask the unemployed/underemployed, skilled construction workers if they'd prefer to have jobs that are being filled with illegals. These people ARE dying to do those jobs. I certainly hope there isn't ANYONE on this forum stupid enough to fall for your intentional and deceptive focus on what is only a fraction of jobs that illegals occupy.

Painters, tilers, drywallers, carpenters, landscapers, roofers, carpet layers, masons and so many more are all affected dramatically by illegal labor. Not to mention how their very presence allows employers to keep the wages of legal employees down. "Shut the fuck up and work for this or I'll get two illegals to replace you"

Why do you hate hard working U.S. citizens so much?

This is why I encourage all to get into skilled trades with licenses or degreed positions so these uneducated laborers will never be able to occupy your job. They dominate the civil labor crafts, let them have it and take your game up a notch and leave those kind of issues behind. I carry 2 licenses and have 0 fear of any illegal taking my job, ever.

Peace
