Day 6. Roots on 4 from 15. Most others have bumps. :D

This is good if i am going to have them out of the bubbler by day 14 and bring in the next batch...

My cloning master.....

Bit of a comparison on growth of the clones. (these are getting planted outside)
I must say they are growing better under the cool whites for veg. Still not sure about these neutral white LEDs

One of the benefits of having a DIY vanity fixture + screw bulb leds is you can test CW v NW. I mix 5000K with 3000K; ratios depend on age of plant

Oh true....Whats your setup bruv? I take it you usually use gel? I went back to your thread to the 24th but instead of cloning setups was greeted by a symphony of pictorial plant prowess.... :D

I dont think i can claim that i am all organic anymore as i used Clonex gel on these......Will i get kicked off RIU for that??

Yeah..this is true. As you know i used screw ins in my earlier grow. The reason i ended up going CW is mainly because of this little fuzzy.....

Flowering day 63 6.jpg
It was directly under a 30w cool white flood (which i am still using now) during flowering....also probably a reason it was throwing out a lot of white pistils...

10/15 clones showing roots. Thats all good. Only need 9 anyway. :) Dont have any 'Pineapple Express' growing at the moment and 6/7 have roots....

These are the 6 x 'Purple Haze' going to be planted outside today. They are just to fill in a few gaps in my bush spot.

The mother Purple Haze is slowly 'clawing' her way back to some sense of a plant.

The full 18/6 setup.

ROFL. I know how you feel about Clonex. It's is my dirty little secret too. Ever read the side of the package. "This product is not intended for use in food crop sites" Oooh I hate that one. Makes me feel dirty. Maybe it is time for something else but I'm completely sold on how well it works. Do you shake the shit out of it before using? It gets filled with air bubbles and I found it works even better and lasts longer when you do that.

I have a liquid (non gel) organic rooting hormone...but i really need a gel for it to stay on when its suspended in mid air on the stalk...not sure if they exist...?

Humphh, you'll listen to brother Bumping now, but I'm pretty sure I mentioned willow earlier. Now I'm jealous and have to come up with something better. From Wikibooks

Rooting HormoneRooting hormone is completely optional. It often comes as a gel or powder that you apply to the base of the stem of your cutting to stimulate root growth. An alternative that seems to yield excellent results when compared to plain water or commercial rooting hormones is a dip in asprin water. Just crush up two extra strength asprin in a half liter of distilled water and let sit with occasional agitation overnight. Now dip your stems in the asprin water instead of rooting hormone before putting them in the medium and you will have excellent results.

It's amazing what you can steal, er I mean learn, around here. Peace :).

OK so since we're all gathered here what's the deal with these, besides mystery binnings? I'm assuming they are Cree LEDs since Cree is very aggressive in keeping their name clean and LED_2007 are legit. Try to find a 'Nokla" on Ebay nowadays. I'm wondering if they're LEDs that didn't pass some kind of quality test at worst. Still, shit Crees are better than most Chinese diodes, for the time being at least.

Could I replace 8 23 watt 1650 lumen CFLs, (4 plants), that I use to veg with, with 3 of these? I've got 3 8mm heat sinks and I'm pretty sure I've got a driver that will run 3 in series. I like the Warms but the intensity of those Cools can't be denied, especially since I'll be running them at 630ma, though I think new drivers might be a better idea and put the Warms back into play. Maybe the Cools and add 2 20 watt 630nm spots as side lighting?

^^^The thing is I need the whites because of how I keep my veg cabinet. I kinda hide in plain sight and the reds and blues would give me away just like a HPS would. And I've seen the 30 watters, in white too. The Warm XPGs are excellent for vegging, though binning helps to get that 620-630nm that seems so popular now. Good FR/IR for stimulating root growth IMO. And no pics of the heat sinks ATM, but they're 8mm thick and roughly 10x20cm. Should work with some active cooling at 630ma. God forbid I pull the book up and do the math :).

Yea, I know what you mean. I always turn the light in my room on before opening the closet because I don't want hot pink light streaming from my window.

Has anybody used these higher wattage chips yet? Thinking this is what would pipe down the HPS vs. LED bs down the road, but do you need to give extra distance from your canopy so the spectrum can mix beforehand?

I feel like 30w's of just red and blue (625, 470) in 55x40mm (~2.2x1.5") sounds a little intense.. Well, I i guess if the angle is wide enough it would rock..

What would you prefer to run something like that @? It has a pretty wide range to play with..

don't mean to jack your thread 'kool- it's constantly filled with random, and a priceless education that you just cant pass up.. lol

How're things goin?
