A week ago I flipped from 18/6 to 24/0, and my plants are growing faster this past week than they have before. Numerous new tops on my older plantLooks good bro, why dont you wanna give her any sleep? 20/4 even? Is the rock wool always that wet?
Because cannabis is a c3 plant and it doesn't not need rest in vegetative period. So long as there is light it will photosynthesize.Looks good bro, why dont you wanna give her any sleep? 20/4 even? Is the rock wool always that wet?
Once again you are wrong. WHY are you still helping? Everyone ignores you. Cannabis once again bmeat is a C3 plant. It does NOT need a dark period in the vegetative stage. It will grow roots with the lights on, the leaves will grow with the lights on. Turning the lights off in Veg does two things.plant looks great, but i hear rockwool can rot in a hydro setup?
i would switch to 20/4. while the plant doesnt create energy when the lights are out, it probably puts the stored energy to better use (root growth, stretching)
Cannabis is a C3 plant. It uses the CO2 it gathers during the light period, when it is photosynthesizing. Plants designated C4 also gather CO2 during the dark period for use during the light period. Many C3 plants, including cannabis, do not need a rest period. They continue to photosynthesize as long as they are receiving light.
I'm gonna have to look up info on C3 plants, i never knew that they grow faster on 24/0.Once again you are wrong. WHY are you still helping? Everyone ignores you. 1: It saves on your power bill
2: Slows down veg growth
THAT IS IT. Don't try to turn this into another 3 page discussion about one thing. Read what I said, put it in your head. Remember it. That is fact. Whatever crazy shit you are probably going to reply with isn't.
Rockwool doesn't rot, it decomposes if you soak it. Keep it moist and you're fine. I've used rockwool for years and years, I have yet to ever have it "rot" on me.
what does that even mean?plants sleep when lights go out!
Probably, maybe, I think, Probably, I read somewhere, it's common knowledge, Probably, seems to me, I heard from a vet grower, etc & more etc.it probably puts the stored energy to better use (root growth, stretching)
I reckon this thread as a 50/50 chance of becomming over 20 pages, just sayin.Probably, maybe, I think, Probably, I read somewhere, it's common knowledge, Probably, seems to me, I heard from a vet grower, etc & more etc.
You have no basis for the opinions you put forth
HAve you personally seen it? with your own eyes? no pic? link your grow which is using them please?plants used stored energy better when the lights are off, even though they are not making atp, there is more than enough atp stored to grow, which is why the c3 cycle/calvin cycle/carbon 3 cycle is called the dark reaction cycle, because even though it doesnt make energy during the 'dark cycle', it uses energy more efficiently.
im just letting the op know that i have seen rockwool rot when it sits in water
