Looks good bro, why dont you wanna give her any sleep? 20/4 even? Is the rock wool always that wet?
A week ago I flipped from 18/6 to 24/0, and my plants are growing faster this past week than they have before. Numerous new tops on my older plant

and 7 nodes on 2 week old plants. Im pretty happy with it, but I will try 20/4 as well because i've read its very good.

Because cannabis is a c3 plant and it doesn't not need rest in vegetative period. So long as there is light it will photosynthesize.

plant looks great, but i hear rockwool can rot in a hydro setup?

i would switch to 20/4. while the plant doesnt create energy when the lights are out, it probably puts the stored energy to better use (root growth, stretching)

Once again you are wrong. WHY are you still helping? Everyone ignores you. Cannabis once again bmeat is a C3 plant. It does NOT need a dark period in the vegetative stage. It will grow roots with the lights on, the leaves will grow with the lights on. Turning the lights off in Veg does two things.

1: It saves on your power bill
2: Slows down veg growth

THAT IS IT. Don't try to turn this into another 3 page discussion about one thing. Read what I said, put it in your head. Remember it. That is fact. Whatever crazy shit you are probably going to reply with isn't.

Rockwool doesn't rot, it decomposes if you soak it. Keep it moist and you're fine. I've used rockwool for years and years, I have yet to ever have it "rot" on me.

Cannabis is a C3 plant. It uses the CO2 it gathers during the light period, when it is photosynthesizing. Plants designated C4 also gather CO2 during the dark period for use during the light period. Many C3 plants, including cannabis, do not need a rest period. They continue to photosynthesize as long as they are receiving light.

i dont believe inert substances can rot. algae on rockwool in my experience is mainly contributed to light. block covers work wonders and keep the smell of algae away.... ive also learned that a build up of algae large enough can rob the roots of certain nutes and slow the uptake process.

My mothers have been under 2 8 bulb t5s for around a year now on 24 hours a day and they are in 1.5 - 4" -6" pyramid style rockwool blocks...covered of course... no algae and stalks thick as a baseball bat handle.

I'm gonna have to look up info on C3 plants, i never knew that they grow faster on 24/0.

Thanks for that.

See Bmeat, unlike you, this guy has alot of grows under his belt, he is capable of giving out advise on personal experiance. unlike you, with your copy and paste BS.

i was wondering the same thing lol plants continue to respirate the only thing happening is photosynthesis is stopped.......why would you want to do that? if you have clean stomata and your plant has good air flow then you are fine, the only thing i could see about "sleeping" i s that the photosynthesis ratio to respirative ratio increases.....but that wont get you a bigger plant.....

Probably, maybe, I think, Probably, I read somewhere, it's common knowledge, Probably, seems to me, I heard from a vet grower, etc & more etc.

You have no basis for the opinions you put forth

I reckon this thread as a 50/50 chance of becomming over 20 pages, just sayin.

plants used stored energy better when the lights are off, even though they are not making atp, there is more than enough atp stored to grow, which is why the c3 cycle/calvin cycle/carbon 3 cycle is called the dark reaction cycle, because even though it doesnt make energy during the 'dark cycle', it uses energy more efficiently.

im just letting the op know that i have seen rockwool rot when it sits in water

HAve you personally seen it? with your own eyes? no pic? link your grow which is using them please?

Seriously why isnt there a "shut the fuck up" button next to the like one?

if you can prove that claim ,with peer edited notation, il buy it. but your claim of higher efficiency without light makes the last ten years ive been doing this seem like a fucking miracle then? am i jesus? no dude the plants dont need to sleep, they grow giant and frosty and fine with no dark in veg at all. this is an argument with no end because there is no evidence.
