If that's not proof, I don't know what is...

One word = Monsanto. Otherwise known as the devil.I just watched a video on youtube that showed the company in Europe that developed Sativex. In the process of making the drug the company developed several strains of marijuana. Which they patented. The company keeps the strains under lock and key and refuse to allow the seeds outside of their company. They also said that if anyone should steal "their" genetics they would be sued. Sub how do you feel about this. Do you think someone can/should be able to patent or own a strain. I understand about trademarking a name but a plant? Also Sub do you think that this will be the norm if MJ is legalized? Where big companies get into the business and virtually take it over because of the resources available to them. Thanks.
It is sad.One word = Monsanto. Otherwise known as the devil.
Supreme court says patenting genetics is legal.
It's sad...
and it's becoming an agricultural norm...
I am scared about the future of cannabis. I am very glad breeders like Soma and Subcool are around. I love that their seeds are created using organic supersoil and I really admire the fact that Sub doesnt buy into the feminized seeds.I can just see all of us in the future... "Down with big cannabis!"
I bet you none of these guys working on genetically modified cannabis have ever smoked cannabis, it's a dead end. Support the best breeders of today, and save seeds for tomorrow.I just watched a video on youtube that showed the company in Europe that developed Sativex. I grew Chem99 (Cindy99 x Chem D) outdoors this year. It wasn't fruity though...very chem dominate. But the buds were not that dense. I got them as clones so I imagine that if you had the beans you could find that magical pheno. Best kief/hash maker on the up side. The kief melts every time and will even condense into hash if left in a warm spot...no pressing.I like a chemical, gasoline, turpentine, diesel type crossed with with a super fruity strain. Say a Chemdog X Cindy 99 or something like that. Fruity and Pine go good together as well.
