Finally Purple Kush seeds?

I just found this site. They are selling Purple Kush seeds, or so they claim: http://www.marijuana-seeds.nl/purple-kush.html
Maybe my information is outdated, but as far as I know, Purple Kush is a California special strain that is being sold as clone only.
Just trying to find out what's going on. Would be really glad if that offer is legit.

So, what do you people think? Can those be real Californian Purple Kush seeds (which is a clone only strain)? Maybe they selfed a few PK plants to get the seeds and got permission to sell them? I'm not too familiar with how this seed business works anyway.
Or is this whole Purple Kush seeds deal just a marketing ploy?
Who knows, maybe authentic PK in a seed form has been around for some time but I have missed the news?

I would be very skeptical....Not only is Purple Kush clone only, but there are hundreds if not thousands of growers knocking the strain off....The real Purple Kush is some A+, demanding sometimes upwards of $500 an ounce in California. Purple Urkel is the same way...These strains are very rare and expensive, mainly due to low yield and difficulty to grow.

Thanks for your reply.
I noticed they describe their Purple Kush seeds as being "Mostly Indica" (suggesting some Sativa influence in the genes), while to my knowledge the original Californian Purple Kush is supposed to be 100% Pure Indica, with absolutely no Sativa in it.
The way I see it is that these guys may have obtained a few real PK clones from California and then may have produced seeds by selfing them. However, I'm not familiar with genetics as a science and I am not very sure if this is how stuff works. I mean, it's not clear to me if selfing an authentic Purple Kush clone will produce seeds that have the exact genes of the selfed mother plant and no traits of the plants down the line that resulted in the mother plant.

Another option would be if they took a batch of real PK clones and then crossed them with some male purple hybrid for the sake of producing seeds.
Or maybe they are just selling some random purple strain, trying to pass it for Purple Kush?
Fuck knows what's going on here, but it would be cool if they have the real deal. I wish they had some proof of that.

Not to mention, that website doesn't seem very legit. It looks like they've thrown up the 10 most popular herb strains for sale, just to make a quick buck. I would say its a no-go.

On another note, I'm not sure what genetics you've worked with and what not, but I would highly, highly recommend Deep Purple or Querkle from TGA. They are hands down the best purple strains, and closest thing to the real purple kush, that I have found. I've actually grown Emerald Seeds "Royal Purple Kush" - Not worth a crap in my opinion. I've grown Darkstar, which is a PK hybrid. It was actually some really good herb, but not A+. The Deep Purple I'm running is definitely A+ herb, reeking of funky grape goodness. Also definitely 100% Indica (Deep Purple), or damn near it.

Even if they used the real purple kush clone to make the seeds, you probably wouldnt end up with something that was a good representation of it (being that PK itself was an elite pheno found out of who knows how many seeds). I used to grow it, its not really that strong. You would probably be better off trying out some of the strains bama mentioned.

Some folks say PK was founded in California others say Canada. I got seeds from Canada a few years back and have been growing it since. I'm going to say it's 100% indica. The shit is dank but indoor yields aren't so great. Here's one from last month I grew. Still in jars curing but, what i've sampled the shit is killer!

Yeah I did the godbud outdoors last summer. Grew a couple monster plants with them but, was very disappointed with the quality of the smoke. Though, I got some white widow from them and it was killer smoke. Yield was average. I'm going to order more in another month or so. What is the smoke report with the purps? Almost bought some beans last spring.

oh, the purps are a delight. my purps were never really a heavy yielder. Sativa like leaves, quick finisher. mine usually were done between 56-63 days. I had some hermie issues with mine, which is why i stopped growing them. just figuring ill get new beans. I had a few for an outdoor grow and saved a cutting off one of them, ran them indoors for the last yr, cpl at a time.

but one of the nicest tasting smokes, has a really nice sharp smell to it. I liked the high, but I have a hard time judging duration sometimes, cuz we are heavy smokers around here, and never really straight lol. It is deff on my list for when I do place a order with them. now the PK is on that list also.

raiderman on here has/had a grow going with them, hes got some nice looking plants.

I'm more than satisfied with the PK from them. Have done over 100 plants and haven't had a hermie yet. I grew a 10 ouncer outdoors this summer. Top cola was the size of a 40 oz brewskie. Here's a pic of some I have going right now 5 weeks in flower under a 600.

I'm not an expert, but I don't think the theory that Purple Kush is a Canadian strain is true. PK is a legendary Californian strain - it makes more sense that it originated in California than that a clone was imported from Canada and then somehow became big only in California, but nowhere else.
With that said, those Canadian seeds from BC Seed King may (or may not) be the real thing. The plants they produce look pretty cool and kind of match the PK description, that's for sure. But whether they are the real Purple Kush is the big question here.

Well, i'm quite satisfied with my results growing it. My son lives in Cali and has bought and grown clones of it. I was out there last summer. Have to say what i'm growing currently is a step above what their selling in the dispensaries around San Jose. Not saying mine is the original PK but, it's some pretty kick ass smoke. I'm a med patient and it keeps me happy and high!

Yeah, in the end of the day the results is what matters.

I was looking for Purple Kush seeds because it is said that PK produces a relaxed high. It is also supposed to make you laugh.
These are two characteristics that I'm looking in a strain, this is why I decided to look for Purple Kush seeds. I guess there are other strains that offer same effects, but growig PK would be so much cooler because of it's legend.

With my Pk the buzz is all based on how long you let your triches go. This last round I went from cloudy to just a couple amber. The weed is a nice happy high. Other runs i've let the triches get more amber and end up on the couch. Personal preference. I'm doing both on this run staggering my harvest over a week or so. And, am planning to obtain the best of both worlds. If you want some nice PK seeds get them from bc seed king. Not bc bud depot. Get the femmed seeds you can't go wrong for a hundred bucks. Nice stealth shipping also. Good luck!

Not that strong? I see P.K. going for $20 gram donations here in the mitten, by far some of the most laid back, yet allover potent varieties i've tried. Tests consistently put it at 19-20% THC. If i can find out how to post em, i have pics of the finished bud. Just wish i could finagle some clones, all in all best strain for my insomnia.

I agree. If I let the triches get 20-30% amber it's certainly couch time. I stagger my harvest from a couple amber to 30%. I also enjoy the up buzz.

IMG_0716.jpgIMG_0717.jpgHit the nail on the head. I find with other heavy indicas i wake up in the night or the next morn with a wicked headache. No head warping here though. Just clean, relaxing body high of the highest quality. Good for daytime if not overdone, great for night-time/stress/pain relief.
