SDS , do you know the average time for a heatsink to fully cool off ? (i'm aware that there are several factors to consider in this one but im just asking for the average time...in other words, just give me a number :bigjoint:)

I would also love to see bigger pictures of 'bud porn' if thats possible...:eyesmoke::eyesmoke::eyesmoke:

peace and l:leaf:ve

I'm not quite sure what do you mean by " average time for a heatsink to fully cool off "...
I can't really give any number on that ...

As for the pics ...

" 9th week of flowering " .....

( ...right click on an image and choose "show image "...zoom in or out ,also... )

Goodmorning,

About the pics; thats what im talking about :eyesmoke:

For the heatsink subject; nevermind :)

are those trich...trich..trichromes on the F:leaf:N LEAVES...?:shock::-o:clap::bigjoint::eyesmoke:

Everything little by little enter in their way on this project ;-)
This culture Sailor even if you put unknown seeds ,i think that it came out better than previous, which was already one strain that you knew:wink:

This for me means, the panels and generally the team evolve to the best until now.

Yeah, things have evolved quite a lot, to the point that we're contemplating the idea of incorporating in the States within 2013 if things go well. Who knows, maybe the 2014 models will be made in USA ;) That would be fun, Greek entrepreneurs in the US :p

Due to herb shortage ...Guh-guh...
The smaller (Indica dom ) had to ..go ...

So the harvest of the smaller one ....

....

And I got some resinous trimmings to let dry ....Maybe I'll turn 'em into some oil...(just for the fun of it ... )

...

Yhe other one should stay for at least a week more ...
With all the lights turned uppon ....

Those wires on the ceiling ?
Don't worry ..they are "dead" ...
I've deactivated the wall-switch..
There's no way ,for something bad to happen ...

On the next grow I'll try some changes ...

-more WW in the spectral blend ,less or not at all CW and more NW instead ( WW : NW => 4 : 1 ) ...
-prune all the lower part of plant(s) ...Leave the 4 main tops (stalks )and some pairs of side branches at each main stalk ..
-Increase the CaO and MgSO4 ( CalMag ) dosage ...
-Have always "on"the air extractor instead of 30' /hour ...(more CO2 ... )

The indica dom didn't seem to like the UB's topping ...
Not at all ....

Anyway ...
The two panels with the violets have been removed..
(Now it is 130 Watts at plug ... )
One week prior to harvest ....
The Sat dom ...
Under the unlensed ,cheap ,white ( mostly )one-watters ...

By now ,I'm pretty convinced ( based on evidence* ),that phosphor layer (remote or not ) and blue/violet chips is apparently ,
the best way to utilise led tech for plant cultivation in controlled environments ..
Not combos of different monochromatic (narrow band or wide band ) colors ...
Due to a plethora of reasons ....

* Evidence that support the use of phosphor & blue/violet leds ( white leds ) :
-Cheap leds & drivers used .
-No additional lenses .
- 45 x 45 mil dies ( @ 350 mA ) ..Aka "one-watters " used ...
-Overall wattage used up till now is low ..( less than 200 Watts at plug ... )
-Ganja2 got 1.6 gpw ...(with 132 Watts...He got 215 grams ...)
-plants grow vigorous and produce fine ...Both in quality & quantity ...

Now ....
I need no more proof ....
....
Next step ....

Ohh..
I keep dreaming of it ....

A remote phosphor led panel ....

My " ideal " one ...

With those specs :
-Heatsink : Fischer ( or the one 6061 AA we use now ,but black anodised ...)
-Maybe a Ebmpapst fan,on back of it ....
-MCPCB : Sinkpad, custom made ....(Although new nano-carbon pcbs seem rather attractive,I should say ... )
-Heatsink thermoconductive glue : Fischer 2-part silicone (blue )
http://www.fischerelektronik.de/web_fischer/en_GB/heatsinks/E01.09/Thermally conductive adhesive/PG/WLK30_120/search.xhtml
-Driver : MeanWell APC 35-350.
-Leds : blue Crees top bins or blue Luxeons , or leds with Bridgelux dies ( I like the latter ....Bridgelux makes only blue dies ..Having the (lab ) record of more than 600mW light power at @ 350mA ...)
-Custom made remote phosphor screen , from Intematix .
-Special light mixing chamber ....Made from/with Furukawa MC -Pet or White97 from WhiteOptics ...
..
Every part ,from top-notch manufacturer ...

.....
Who knows ....
Maybe ....

I wonder those -the dreamy ones -,what they 'll .."produce "....
Nevertheless, they would've been true " Ferrari ",models of led grow panels ...
And probably would cost .....approx the same also.... :-P.....

.....
?

Hey Man the plants and the buds especially look beautiful. You were giving me some pointer's in another thread and wanted to stop by and take a look.

Hey Man the plants and the buds especially look beautiful. You were giving me some pointer's in another thread and wanted to stop by and take a look.
Now ,this is with 192 (not so good chosen ) one-watters ...
Ganja used in his aerohydroponic system ,just 144 one watters ,more wisely chosen ... He got 215 grams of dry herb ...(no stems ...)
That's about 6.5 oz ...(Isn't it ? )
132 Watts => 6.5 oz .....Not bad ....Uh ?
I'll get way less ...
But quality is superb ....

Now you have a ready built "vessel " there ...
All you have to do is change the leds ...
and the "motor " maybe (drivers ) .....
You have 288 pcs of leds ...
If you choose the right ones ....
....
.......13 ?
No more .That's enough .

Now ..
Say I needed to build 10 of those dreamy ones ...
Each would cost (roughly ) :
60$ for the heatsink ....(though I think more ... Anyway ...)
20$ for the fan ...
15$-20$ for the pcb ...Say 20$ ..Custom made ...Few pcs ...
12$ to 48 $ for the leds ...Say 36$ ...
50$ for the RP screen ...
25$ for the whole mixing chamber (case + coating )
211$ up til now for ONE 24 Watt panel ....
Thermal glue ,the miracle blue ,costs 1$ per gram ...
Each panel say needs 2 to 3 grams ...
215 $ ,say .....
Oh the driver .....
Say another 20$ ....
.......
235 $..
Add cables ,ect ....another 15$...
250$ .....
10 of those....... 2500 $ ...
For 240 Watts.....
Yup .....
Led tech is expensive still ...
( but...This is the "ferrari " we takin' about here ....)
If it would worth it ?
Well ..If I had them ,with the ease to spare them ....
...
Two and a half Ks' ....
...
I need to sit ....
Just woke up ...
Kinda sudden ....
...
At least can they be made for half price ?
( or even less ? )
I wonder ....
More ..."commercial grade " ....

( Like "poor " ,"mere " & "small " Fiat ...
Same company ,with Ferrari ... See ?..
Both covering the "needs" of the masses and of the "high-class " ..."golden " boys 'n' girls ....
Ahhhh....Italians ....Una razza ,una faccia ,with us ...
. )

Hola growers and friends,

Day 34 today...she's becoming a monster...

Had to LST all of her again today (hope for the last time)

Also,i lowered the pot for better air circulation and more free space!

Here are some pictures(i think flower has started some days ago!! Lets see!)

Enjoy...!:bigjoint:

*Last picture is last year's Nirvana auto NL under 70watt HPS at Day 32
**θα γινει της κολασεως :bigjoint:
