HDMI to VGA hd adapter?

I was wondering if any of you techies knew whether or not this adapter would allow me to hook up my playstation 3 to my moniter, i have an hd moniter but it's an older model without an HDMI outlet. Will this adapter work? Thanks guys.

Hdmi is digital
VGA is analog

Im currently using DVI to HDMI. Although this connection is still fully digital, just saying. Check for DVI.
