yea i just tested using a 125w CFL. even that was crap for flower! i should follow you and keep it in veg lol. have you ever thought about LED's over HPS? or are you sold on that 600w?

Nice... your buds are amazing man.. Mine were garbage and I was under a 400w HPS .. lots of rookie mistakes though.. Hopefully won't make them this time..

I'm not too sold on the led yet,maybe as supplemental lighting in flower or as a Veg light. But the 600w is where I'm going, I need a boost on yeild. I'd go 1000w if I had a way to cool it without cutting holes, but I'm probably gonna have do that anyways. That's also why I went to bigger pots, hopefully that helps. I was getting 2 zips average in a 3gal, 1 gallons looks like 1-1.5 depending on how much I trimmed off. If I get 3 zips each from 6 plants under a 600wI'll be a happy mother fucker , I just can't keep up with demand now, I got people on a waiting list lol 
I also can't take any credit for woody haze or the white widow. Those fine genetics were not my discovery,someone else did the hard work of acquiring those, I was gifted them.... Thanks buddy

after comparing the 1 led from last grow to all the lights i had on this one. I know the led has a lot of potential. for instance in my 2 x 2 space i can fit 6 of those 100w LED's pointing straight down. and they don't produce the crazy amounts of heat that a 600w HPS does lol. so no new ventilation issues. but not doubting the huge plants the quantam will make especially with the care you put into your babies lol.

leds work. issues with them are using them solo, they dont really have the full spectrum to get the yeilds needed when mixed with flouro and the use of higher wattage single diode white LEDs there has been realy good results, but IMO they are just supplimental lights honestly watching truepunk makes me want to get another T5 to flower with in my third tent instead of more HID.

you can DIY them for mush cheaper in fact ive been thinking about that myself too. x8 10w supplemental light would be pretty cool x4 red x4 white and a HPS or x8 red and a MH

The LED that I have has like 6 spectrums. 2 red, 2 blue, uv and that single white diode like you said. all 2 and 3w diodes

ohh and i got the stats on my LED for comparison. it's mostly 630nm and 660nm red but also has 730nm infrared, 380nm UV, 425nm deep blue and 12,000k cree white.
how long of a dry on those nugs?

well the uv coming from your light is UVA not UVB so not quite the useful addition to the mix, then your white diode, still isnt enough i can tell by the color, it needs some more white, but here in the last year(thanks to the DIYers) led company's have begun to incorporate more white leds.

first three useful, next 2 useless(they should have used 460nm instead!) and a mix of 12000k/10000k and 6500k would be more ideal.

well with the 12,000k cree it says in parenthesis (with a 460nm peak). definitely not the best light on the market but i couldn't beat the price for the power.

4 day dry....still a little moist in the stem but that will even out in the jar. Once I can smoke a joint and it stays lit I'll jar it
