hey guys 30 inches by 20 inches of space how many 42 watt bulbs acurately will i need the whole x by this divide by that dont work for me i suck at math can one of you math it up for me lol?

Finally have the veg room going...Can't wait for the next ESB bill.:)
The middle and right on the back row are the clones that made it. Their going straight in to flower once the two White Widow's come down. Hopefully some time in the next 2 - 4 weeks.
With the 4 left in veg, hope to get to top or fim them this time... Once I don't have any more "incident's" like I had the last time...

look`s good tho pad, i`m glad i`ve my cfl side shut down, i`m looking forward to a much lower esb bill this time round, been in the 300 range for too long now... then again everything here is electrical, can`t do shit without power...

some here, 4 in veg box 4 in flower room, and you can see the homemade hood with the two spectrums mixed.... shows the two colours so you see the "blue" for veg and "red" for flower....

no they don`t need to be hanging sideways but some say they give more light off that way, a reflector will make more of the lumens the light puts out but not really a have to have to grow....

i warn you now, this is a long game your about to play, the rules are simple ...tell no one.. but with cfl there great for vegging up a plant, time and time again you will get thick green girls, but to flower under there a cunt, puts another 3 to 4 weeks on flowering some strains, and the buds will be meager, compared to the hps, if you can get yourself a 250 or if you can a 400w hps for flowering, otherwise at the end you will look at your yeild after the same time as others on here and think....why didn`t i go hps....;)

cfl`s are say half the price of the hps, but after waiting and feeding all that time with hps you can increse the yeild ten fold and only do say three grows a year, where with the cfl your growing year round and no getting from grow to grow without running out of weed, then you have to go buy street weed, so the cash adds up in favor of the hps all the time, if your worried about the bill jumping up then run your cfl`s until flower so a couple of weeks and then flip to hps, in the cold they if anyone will putit down to extra heaters etc, and as long as you pay and don`t fiddle the meter, no one cares ..
 
height is an issue for you isn`t it???? but say with 3 ft plants and 8 42w cfl`s you`d get around say 30g off a plant, but unless your pulling one down every week or you don`t smoke that much i still say go hps, if you read back i was cfl for almost 2 years, after going hps and seeing the difference, cfl will never catch up...
 
little update...

after some small feeds of n and a little flower pk there grand again, not totally recovered but on the way.... showing preflowers so within a week or so we should have our girls and the males gone...

looks like we`ll loose 4 or 5 but the rest look safe...

It all depends on the space you have available. You could grow one plant under a 250 or you could have up to 36 smaller plants, it all depends on your growing style. With current laws in our country you want to try and keep plant numbers down or make sure that you don't get caught.

Your best bet is to read through the forum, especially the stickies and also get yourself a good marijuana cultivation book. Anything by Ed Rosenthal (his latest additions) or Jorge should see you along nicely and will answer most of your early stage questions and give you a fundamental understanding on how it all works :)

I would do the above before dropping any seeds.

Gave the girl just over 1ml of pk13/14 last night and i am starting to see bud production! you now the nice fattening up you see about 2-3 weeks before harvest, may it keep going and i have my fingers crossed the fucking parts i bought ages ago will finally be here today so i can drive a 400w dual spec in there and increase yield abit before harvest
