Woohoo santa came! 400 watt is in and will come on tonight, gonna try the bottle of bloombastic i got also, i hear that stuff is very strong so i will start with 1/2ml. might get a pic up later when the light comes on, i wonder should i keep the ballast at 400watt or should i pump her up to overdrive mode 430watts? first night i might just keep it normal 400w

Man i am gonna have the best paddys day ever! royal mix soil and 400watts is gonna be killer compared to my 250watt hps or cfl, id say ill be sprouting seeds in about 2 weeks and they will be ready for a big pot of royal mix when i harvest the others

i`m intrested to see if the soil makes that big a difference in the grow compared with a basic compost...

kang have ya got a link for were ya bought the light,my ballast blew the other night im keepin them alive with two cfls,lesson learned always have a spare light.

Yeah man get this ballast then you can buy a 250watt bulb and a 400watt bulb and run it at either 250watt or 400watt, ill be putting a 250watt mh bulb in it for veg then 400 watt dual spec bulb for flower, heres the link:

Finally got around to getting a few more sockets. Should get it connected up tomorrow during lights off. Aiming to have the new board supporting the ballast's as well and route all wire's neatly to it. Place is a jungle of wires at the minute, was wrecking my head...
Next job is to make 2 doors for the rooms. Going to use two sheets of insulation that will just slot into place.
Temps seem to have got better since The MH went on and I disconnected the extractor from venting to the outside. Only extracting from the flower area and into the room the whole setup is in...Have to get a carbon filter fairly fast though...

have more sockets than i know what to do with since i got my wirey mess sorted ... your best to have it done tho pad, they must be starting to stink if your thinking filter now...

Not too bad at the minute. The room is in the attic and I'd say most of the smell will be able to get out through the eaves and blockwork so might hold tough a while...If it does get bad the grow shop is only an hour away anyway

Fuckin A everything works! 400watt is up and running and i dont need sunglasses on the camera anymore to take a pic with the digital ballast! have her running at 400 for the first while to break her in then maybe last week ill put it in super mode, pics with it just on, lights about 6 inches away, doesent seem too hot ill check in a while again

thinking of this next run and you asked about vegging, just looking at timeing etc i think i may start it soon, have the pot and soil stone for the hempy etc, just have to get round to it..

going to go with the seeds md sent, bubba 76 would have run the hippie headband but haven`t the time now for regs and i want to heavy clone it when i do run it...

so md keep your eye on the thread and i`ll jornal it here for you, 50 litre hempy tub with simple soil and baby bio for veg.. veg and flower under the 600w ....

Looks like i am gonna be fine for heat too cause its been on 30 mins and theres less heat with the 400watt than there was with the 250w and the 200w cfl so happy days!

gonna go roll a large jay-bird and lavish myself in complements about how nice the new ballast and bulbs are waaaahaaaaaa......... laters

yeah the bulbs get a bit hotter after use but the tops of mine got a bit close and they didn`t burn but you still don`t want that chance... pity there so far in flower or you could crop them a bit to slow them down, and watch them like a hawk, mine when i changed from cfl to hps went rapid...
