First time hearing about it,I might give that a look also.
The first season is still on the streaming list, if you have Netflix. At least, I think it still is.

Yeah I don't think I've heard of it before either. You watch the new show Vegas with Dennis Quaid?
Like you said, not the proudest moment in American history. Westerns are on all the time here but all I see is shooting, pans across the beautiful landscape then more shooting and some tight shots on an actor's face then back to a wide angle and more shooting.
I like movies, I work for a film studio, just can't get into westerns. I feel sick.
I fucking love Dances with Wolves though...
I can't stand to see all those natives killed as a general rule, though my tribe is south american; they didn't get quite so much ofthe publicity of atrocities committed against them and the seizure of their land.

It's kind of an iconic movie all the same. I didnt really care about his accent, I was in it for the cinematography and soundtrack lol
But seriously, Dances with Wolves is one that everyone should watch... Avatar was definitely influenced by it, along with Princess Mononoke, but clearly the original was the true story of Pocohontas. The New World with Q'Orianka Kilcher is the best live action adaption I've seen so far.
Dances with Wolves is one I never watched. Kevin Costner's acting is atrocious. Robin Hood with no accent? Really? lol
Nope, never watched it. I just looked it up on IMDB though, and it seems interesting. I like Quaid and Chiklis. Have you seen justified? I was hooked on that for a few seasons, need to get caught up one day.
Come on man! Open Range, water world, postman, hatfield and mccoys? He's made his fair share of bad movies though. I believe some actors just need to know there role. A lot of people say Kevin Costner acts the same way in all his movies, which I do agree with, but so does jack Nicholson, sameual l Jackson, Tommy lee jones, Robert Duvall and bunch of others I can't think of right now. I think a lot of people just don't like Kevin Costner, not my favorite but he's alright.
Waterworld is full of terrible acting, but for some reason, it just works. ha ha Your point is valid though. There have been other actors in the past that I have disliked, who turned out to be surprisingly good when I saw some of their other work.
I'll have to look into Justified, looks good unfortunately FX is apparently a luxury channel according to dish because it's not included in on my $50 package. Maybe Netflix?
Yeah bad acting for sure. I'd say it's a really really good B movie with a good story line Postman isn't far off from that at all but they make interesting theories on post appocolyptic scenarios with Kevin Costner saving us all.
Agreed. Sister and bro in law get it. The show archer is good.
Back on westerns, you ever watch Once upon a time in the west?
I do love me a Bruce Campbell movie. I haven't found a lot of sympathizers. Most people just don't appreciate a good B movie. In light of all this, perhaps I should give Costner a second shot.
