Had to post one more shot of (Not So)Purple Marty.. I've never had suck a lanky strain but it's covered in super frosty, lemon scented nugs.

Each one of those branches are 36"+ long.. This plant is awesome but if I grew it again I think I'd cut the veg time in half.

Marty which parent is this more like? Who are we looking at here?

That looks closer to Fat Marty to me; but the G-13 shows too in my opinion. That's a true Purple Marty, (not a Fat Purple), correct? I've got one now that smells just like grapefruit; it reeks of it in fact. I never put it under HID light when I switched it to bloom cycle for a month, (was working on room redo forever), and then I put it under veg light 3 weeks. Now it's back in HID bloom for almost 2 weeks. So far no herm even after I broke the main stem tying it down first day; so that's a good sign for the species. I started a couple Fat Purple seeds and a few other things the other day; still got to get a Kid Rock test done, etc. etc. etc. I think I got 5 untested 'Marty' strains after this round; doing Purple Marty X Grape-13 with the FP's this time though.

The seed came out of one of the purple buds that glad sent down for me. I am under the impression it is, he said it got a little stressed from a light leak and popped some balls..

It sure looks a lot like some of the Fat Martys on here huh? I like it whatever it is lol!

More than likely that seed was from the green pheno. From the looks of your plant. It wasn't quite as pretty, but it was every bit as potent, possibly more so.

It was in a purple bud.. the seed would have the same genes as all the phenos, could come out green or purple.

No shit. I often wondered about that. I just don't feel right popping seeds from seeded bud, when I have so many good seeds I am wanting to run so bad.
I guess I am saying, I never felt that safe running seeds from seeded buds. (Buds that were not intended to be seeded anyway. lol)

Here are my 5 Purple Marty's. I don't understand why my pic's have the numbers below them, so when you click them they get bigger, in the window when I'm putting it together, but here it doesn't have the ability to click and get bigger?

I need help. But here they are. They're topped now, and getting bushier. This was a couple of days ago.

edit....now that I hit save, they get bigger. I hate computers lol.

That's why I host them somewhere else and use img tags to post them here, then they come out full size. :) Ya'll don't have a choice but to look at them lol.

Are you growing Purple Marty or Fat Purple?

You can double click on the picture when your writing a post and then a box appears and it has options for sizes.

Fat Purple is the strain that we all have to test. The Purple Marty was from a previous grow of mine, from seeds that I also got from Marty.
It was fantastic, but they got juggled around a lot in my basement from contruction woes. I gave out lots of samples and there were seeds
in it. Stumpjumper ain't no dummy, he threw his in dirt and is growing the Purple Marty. Without knowing all that it can be confusing, but
when you know it, it is cool as fuck to see.

I started noticing some purpling on mine this morning.

every spot on mine that has resin is purple. every spot on it without resin is bright green. the calyxs are all purple and the sugar leavs are all streaky where there is resin there is purple and there is already alot of resin.

Man I think my PM is damn near ready to chop, the calyxs are all swollen and there's hardly any new pistils at all, the leaves are all nice and green still though but I've been feeding and feeding lol..

I need to get a magnifier, I don't usually check trichs anymore and gave away my loupe cause I'm pretty good at judging by appearance but this plant has me second guessing myself. 7 weeks seems way early for such a sativa dominant plant but damn it looks damn near done. It's also not green anymore, the calyxs are all a real pretty lavender color. I guess I'll post a picture real quick for some opinions. brb..

Stump- Nice looking buds you got there!

I feel bad that I haven't been on and posting in forever. Got the internet finally at the new place. Here are some pics of my fat purples. One is purple pheno and the other appears to be regular.101_0520.jpg 101_0521.jpg101_0526.jpg
The left one is a green pheno of the fat purple and has always had twisted fan leaves. The other two pictures are of the purple pheno of the fat purple. These girls are in their 3rd week of flower under a 400w cmh bulb. The night temps dip down to 52 degrees yikes
