Well I've been thinking of a way for me to stick a party cup under my led panel(for days) and it's just not possible ; I'm pissed cause I'm out of this again

..<<.I mean cmon,, it's just not gonna happen....even if I hang the cup.....the cheese just takes up all of it/ if it dies unexpectedly I'm in

Shit! This might come down to me using some reg seeds, which I don't want to do considering I got some pretty heavy hitters in my flower room. Fear of pollinating my Tutankhamon (Pyramid seeds), and Liberty Haze (Barney's Farm) makes me nervous using regs, but I am not going to miss this event for anything. I guess if I can't get anything else in time, then I will just have to use some regs and take some risk, worst case scenario is that I create a new strain and try growing that later, at least it will have some pretty good genetics to start.

^^^ Don't worry Bags, just pull them before they're mature enough to shoot that nasty pollen all over your sorority house . I just sexed out 9 Black Widows in my flowering room, pulled the 2 males and nobody is making any seedz.

Yeah, I'd like to start hearing about genetics soon. We have more than double the amount of participants as last time and a lot of new names so it would be good to start hearing from everybody about what strains they are thinking about going with, what wattage lights, medium choice, nutrients if they want to divulge that as well. You're going to have to mention all this no later than your first entry anyway, so let us know what the plans are. I'm excited to see what everyone has in terms of strains and lights, should make for a great variety.

I am going to sprout Agent Orange (my own ... I had 3 seeds in some really nice buds ... not sure where they came from but I ll grow them out!!) And I will also sprout my own cross of Agent Orange male x Chemo fem aka Agent Chemo.

We are allowed 5 seeds? and 1 keeper after sexing?

Thanks FranJan, I always get nervous of not catching the males on time so I typically only start fem seeds when growing from seed, I grow medically so my patients would not want me to mess up and get seedy buds.

Yes, I do believe that's the rule. I'm quite sure it was said once before somewhere in here.

EDIT:

Ok guys, since there's a lot of you anxious to get started, I think we can do a 3 week veg window, starting 12/15 and ending 1/5. This means you have to have your seeds started germing by 1/5 or you're out. I also think it's a good idea to have everyone write on their cup the germ date, and the date they pop out of the cups. Also write the name of the strain on the cup for all to see. Thanks.

minimum is 1, max you can germ is 5 but keep only 1 once they determine sex. flexible on the germ 5, i know some have bad luck with m/f ratios so let me know how many you want the max germ limit to be...

Jan. 5th? That sounds much more enticing. I was getting on here to announce my resignation from the competition, but I guess I'll stick with it if it's on Jan. 5th. I went to the hydro store to pick up some FFOF for the competition and the last of the supplies I needed before the Lumigrow arrives (tubing, ducting, ph up/down, etc..) and I had to buy an air pot. It's just so damn sexy and they had a very convincing side-by-side comparison with a regular bucket, a smart pot, and an air pot. The smart pot was beating the regular by about 6" of growth and the air pot's plant was easily twice the size of the smart pot, so I couldn't resist. I'm also going to pump air into the soil with one of these flexible air lines. I just didn't want to waste my time on a 12/12 grow in a party cup if I could do it in an air pot and get 4-5 times more bud. At least that's my thinking since it's 3Liters and it has the capability to outgrow average containers 3/1. I'll be setting up this 12/12 air pot grow today or tomorrow, and I'll still be down to start the party cup competition on the 5th.
