+1 for Germ Week and party cups. 1/1-1/7?

And yeah Puff an air cup is an attempt to make an air pot. I got lots of crazy little ideas for this one. My plan is to push the plant so much it goes out in a blaze of glory at the end. LOL Now excuse while I go pop 5oo holes in a party cup.

Actually, 2.5-3l sounds pretty good to me as a standard. Plus it's readily available where I live, so I cast my vote. But I'll go with what most of us vote for.

Is it too late for ME to join? I'd love to do this. I'll have to find extra room for my 12/12 seed and I won't use my Lumigrow, I'll use the lil' 90w ufo. The one that got busted for falsely advertising CREE diodes in the lamp. I got phucked, but it'll still flower a plant. I think...

Just my .02, but I think we should all try to either grow hybrids, sativas, or indicas. I feel that the poor sativa guys would get whooped by the indicas in a 12/12 from seed, but I could be wrong.

I do have a little chamber ready for the cup though


I obviously won't be using CFLs, as my LED parts are still on their way. There will be around ~25w of LED in there and my coco/perlite cupling!

EDIT: Don't mind the runt, I found her outside the other day randomly growing through the gravel in my yard. She's flowering lmao.

I'm cool with everything so far, I'll just wait on a date to be set. We could have a "Germ Week" since the holidays are coming up and everybody has different plans. People will finish a grow earlier than some anyways right?

Sounds like most want party cups, so we'll keep the tradition alive and stay with 16 oz party cups. Still haven't heard from everyone about germ dates. Any objections to allowing air-cups?

It would be nice to wait until after the New Year to start. I wanted to try out one of the new Area 51 LED's when they come out. But I see that some would like to start sooner. And I guess I wouldn't mind using the Solarstorm . pAIRty cups sound good to me.

Since everybody's cup will finish at different times anyway, why dont we do the germination from Dec.20th until Jan 10th ? ... or is it going to get too messy? I am anxious to start

I'm in also. This sounds very interesting. If we go hydro can we start out in rockwool or rapid rooters? I remember a post saying they had to be in the keg cups the WHOLE time. I guess i could just put my rockwool physically inside the cup while it germs! Lol I'm also not opposed to just going soil.

As much of a nightmare it could be, it could also produce a monster. No substrate to eat up the 16oz volume, more roots(you know what they say don't you )...
