Are you sure you don't mean Venezuela? They're the oil-rich country with a leftist dictator. Brazilian politics are tame by comparison. cn
You are correct. UncleShitBritches, the genius in his own mind, never even caught that. Ha ha ha!

the bottom 50% pay plenty of taxes, actually. we can go over that, or i can point out that the bottom 50% make jack squat.

i doubt you own a business if you speak of hiring decisions and don't mention demand in that equation.

Buck....I have to protect myself against higher taxes in addition to many many other expenses.Demand? really?I am telling you plainly that I am protecting myself.I can cut back on workers and have the rest work extra. It is frightning to think of what is coming and it will be very tough days ahead.I am a survivor who does not depend on anyone. Many are not and it will be very difficult for those who have no drive which are many

I wouldn't grow corn if I didn't have to. I would probably grow potatoes and wheat, but they don't pay shit so its gotta be corn If you want me to keep the farm producing food for starving people to eat.

Of course you would probably prefer that farmers never got any subsidy and then you and your family can try growing your own to live on. Hope that little plot of grass you got can produce the approximately 2300 pounds of food for each person in the home.

Good luck with that.
you produce corn at a loss and wait for your welfare check to make up the difference. let's be honest here.

i was only editing your post for grammatical errors that a second grader could avoid, such as misspelling "its".

i grew 112 corn plants this year and saved their seeds for next year's crop.

you're confusing corn with cannabis. i did abide by state plant limits and only grew 6 cannabis plants, limiting me to a lousy 11-12 pound harvest.

my life sucks. :eyesmoke:

Re: How will you vote? 2012 U.S. Presidential Elections

What makes me so sick is the ruling in Ohio which allows afro-american preachers to bus their congregations to the polls after their Sunday sermon. It's this mixing of religion and politics which the Democrats pretend to oppose until it helps them.

I agree. There are a lot of factors that fall into everything we are all discussing here and i find it excellent that we can discuss.I am saying that a very large part of our society has very little drive. Many are desperate/in bad situations.Raising taxes on those who succeed for no other reason but to take/steal will not solve the problem.I promise you that.I am just saying that it makes it much more difficult to succeed for all of us.if the so called rich do not succeed it has ramifications. No poor person to my knowledge has ever provided a job to another.

i am offended, sir!

what would i stand to gain by taking things red1966 has typed here and copying them nearly verbatim to a neo-nazi, white supremacist website, where red's words were met with great approval by said neo-nazis and white supremacists?

what, i ask what, would that possibly prove?

take your unfounded accusations and be gone!

i said good day.

I SAID GOOD DAY!

do you have anything else besides recycled, provably false, republican talking points?

first, please give a ballpark percentage of people who have "very little drive".

second, please discuss how a job is created. is a job created just by giving a wealthy person a tax break, or is it because of the aggregate demand of many people, many of them perhaps being poor?

also, taxes have been much much much higher than they are currently, and nearly everyone prospered, including the rich. so i highly doubt your "ramifications" statement. that comes across more as abrasive crybabyism.

Well...you seem very intelligent.I do understand your world view.No recycled ideas or thoughts here...Although much of what you say I have heard to the point of vomiting.I would consider myself mostly libertarian.i would guess that since we are both on this site we may have much more in common than you and I may think.I love our country and i am just concerned that far too many have only received checks but never have wrote one(such as payroll)To much contempt for success out there.Your Demand statement is interesting...I would encourage you to look further into your statement. You seem somewhat bitter towards people who have money. This makes it more difficult to debate you because you seem closed to reality in terms of how and why people create a biz.It is not for the benefit of employment but to make money...for me.

Why are you so interested in my job? Jealous, perhaps? If I purposely didn't misspell a word now and then, you might lose you're job as official grammar cop. Hell, I even insert a few homophones and misspelings to keep you employed at you're high paying career as spelchecker/grammar cop. I no it pays more than you're make believe treadmill "business". I no how hard it is for handicapped people like you with know bladder or bowel control to find employment outside the home. What with the local children stealing your massive pot crop and awe. I no you make a little profit on the side misquoting me on neo-nazi web sites. I here they pay purty well for each post. Perhaps you're wife, the heiress, can give up her job at the Wafflehouse soon, since I have provided so much extra income for you? I'm afraid I must soon go back to ignoring you, but you can be proud that I generously responded to you twoday.

do you honestly believe that people don't start businesses because they hate success dude?

i am not bitter towards people with money, i am contemptuous of people who think like you do and try to pigeonhole the less fortunate as parasitic mooches.

"inequalitywatch"? Give me a break. Brazil profited from it's oil industry. Period. The leftest dictator they have confiscated the oil wells and has used the money they generate to keep himself in power, rewarding his supporters and punishing any who oppose him. And when I say "punish". I mean torture and murder. How many thousands have "disappeared"?
The politics of Brazil take place in a framework of a federal presidential representative democratic republic, whereby the President is both head of state and head of government, and of a multi-party system. The political and administrative organization of Brazil comprises the federal government, the states, the federal district and the municipalities.
The federal government exercises control over the central government and is divided into three independent branches: executive, legislative and judicial. Executive power is exercised by the President, advised by a cabinet. Legislative power is vested upon the National Congress, a two-chamber legislature comprising the Federal Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. Judicial power is exercised by the judiciary, consisting of the Supreme Federal Court, the Superior Court of Justice and other Superior Courts, the National Justice Council and the regional federal courts.

NoDrama, I wonder if people know that farm subsidies are another income redistribution idea to make the necessities of life (food) artificially cheap. They also are paybacks for big ag campaign support, a way to insure the food supply is safe in the event of war, and other purposes I couldn't even guess at. I know they harm 3rd world countries with arable land but little industry, but I doubt that's done on purpose.

Bucky,
You call me a mooch for wanting to spend $0.70 less on tofu. But I'm one of the unfortunate. Me thinks it has less to do with their fortune and is more in line with ideology.
