Has anyone ever used the Buck Bomb doe in estrus?
I picked up a can of it since it had some pretty good reviews, and it's early rut going on full rut.
Figured I would give it a try tomorrow.

No, maybe a little on my shoes while walking into my hunting spot. Then spray it on some trees or something. It apparently carries down wind to bring them in. Some do it in short bursts and others just let the can on full spray and let it go.

I figured with my call and maybe some rattling with this spray might get me a buck to come in.

ahh I see... how many tags did ya get
So far this season I have only tagged one doe, but the season is still young. I was really wanting some jerky.
I really want to tag a buck though.
In my area it is 3 antlered deer and am allowed 1 a day per season and for antlerless it is 3/day. Not really a limit on antlerless. Just morals not to take young deer.

So yea, I'm out in the woods hunting and this damn squirrel is pissing me off. Keeps making racket and I think it's a deer. I'm thinking about putting an arrow thru this fucker

Got back from hunting and didn't see much. Today was the beginning of muzzle loader season and there were a lot of other hunters near by so I packed up early. I got some nice pics from my trail camera though.
Apparently I forgot to set the date and time on the trail camera.
PRMS0004.jpgThis was on Halloween night.
PRMS0007.jpgBest she would taste delicious.
PRMS0010.jpgThis was yesterday at around 8am.

All in all it was a pretty uneventful day. Seen a couple squirrels, woodpecker and some finches. Them damn finch birds seem to always fly right by my head while I'm in the woods. I must look to much like a tree.

I have, don't bother to just set it off, its a waste of spray. just spray it on the ground and a little in the air. their sense of smell is so good they'll smell that for a mile or two. too much and it has to be a shock to the smeller you know?

god I wish I could be out hunting. stupid back.

first bow season i've missed in a long time.

So what iz the plan? spray body with that stuff?
dude, thats a big no no. i burned some of those scent sticks with urine in them once, while sitting on the ground. i was eating my lunch, and I looked up and a buck was running right at me, i was sitting on the ground with my gun out of reach. it ran to within a couple of feet of me, and looked like it wanted to attack me, pawing the ground and turning its head. i freaked out and stood up real fast, and thankfully it ran away. i'll never be anywhere near that smell again, that deer was obviously very confused at me sitting there smelling like that. it could have been ugly.

my cousin dropped a cow horn in upstate SC Halloween morning. Been hearing a lot of talk from the old timers that Halloween is a very productive day.

Yea, I just sprayed some about 15 feet from my camera. I sprayed in on the ground and on some bushes. That shit stinks.
Sucks that you can't hunt.
Don't worry, I'll hunt enough for both of us.

I need to get me one of those scent sticks. Do you remember which kind you had? I would sure like to give it a try.
Sheesh, gun out of reach and a horny buck coming for you. I have to admit, the visual is hilarious. I always I mean always have a knife on me. If worse comes to worse, I have some sort of weapon. I use a pocket knife that I keep very sharp for cleaning the deer.
