AK-auto Hermied.

I have 4 , feminized AK autos growing for about 4 weeks now and all are starting to flower fine under 1000 HPS at 18-6. One of them popped out a shit load of pollen sacks overnight. I pulled the plant out from the room immediately, but, have a question now. If I take this plant to another place and let it finish growing.... Will the seeds be fem or male or both? Can I collect the pollen and pollinate a non auto strain and what will resulting plant be?

Im not sure what sex the seeds would turn out to be. But from reading what other people have done with auto crosses if you crossed it with a photo strain none of the first generation plants will be autos. Seed those plants and the second generation will be approximately 25% autos.

The auto trait is recessive and is not expressed when the gene for the plant's life cycle is also present in a single plant. First generation: all hybrids 1 trait for regular and one for auto life-cycles. Second generation: 25% 2 reg traits, 50% hybrid 1 reg, 1 auto trait (same as first generation plants), and 25% with 2 auto traits and the plant will be an auto.

But crossing your herm auto with another auto will result in all of the seeds being autos. I have not done any seed-making let alone breeding but that is my understanding of what others have posted. Also I said traits because I am not sure if single or multiple genes are responsible for the plant's life-cycle.

I dont know how much of that is true cause i crossed an auto purple jem male with a bagseed sour diesel female photo and i have a 1st generation which im naming "sour jem" that has a lady that i just discovered pistils on (i could be lucky but 2 so far)... and i killed a male 1 (out of 5 others who have not shown anything) because he looked short and chem burned just wasnt a trait i want...but i think the hermie trait can pass on easily but can also b eliminated through selective breeding and patience..but hey ive only been doing this for the past whatever whatever (not long) but my non-hermie auto x autos are all autos if anything super fast autos...like 2nd to 3rd week showing signs (my first wave were alot bigger and took 5-6 weeks for preflower)

If you use that pollen then the offspring could be very susceptible to turning hermie too. If you just scrap that plant, get some colloidal silver and force one of the true females to make pollen, that the resulting seeds from that cross would be much more valuable imo. But who knows it might not be the plants fault completely :leaf:

Thanks lowrider, I was kind of thinking about scrapping it too. This is the 3rd auto seed that has been a male or hermie so far out of 15 total. So much for feminized seeds lol. I wish I knew what seed bank they were coming from. I get them from another guy and not sure where he gets. I guess I need to start with another seed supplier too.

A freind of mine orders them for both of us, instead of two addresses being shipped to. I think they are from (not sure on spelling) sensei seeds?? anyhow its something like that. I am not impressed so far with these autos we've been getting. What seedbank would you recommend? I am in the states, NE Pa area.
