You voted for who you trusted with that intel so they could make informed decisions on your behalf!So...we have blind faith as evidence? I feel like this is turning into a theist vs. atheist debate here...

I voted libertarian. You voted for who you trusted with that intel!
That's what I said, you voted!I voted libertarian.
It's foolish to believe that sort of shit, imo. What part of "The President makes decisions based on what the current intel is, and you can rest assure that is NOT the intel the media reports to the public. " don't you understand?
Yes, I voted for the one who would end these wars. I was making the point that your statement had no bearing on my vote. I trust no-one in my government with privileged information on the level they try to claim it.That's what I said, you voted!
You obviously have no clue. You completely ignore the real strategic necessities of the defense of the nation and pass it off as "politicians are all corrupt."It's foolish to believe that sort of shit, imo.
They lie to get you to vote accordingly. They don't get into wars to protect you, they get into wars to make themselves and their crony fuck buddies money. This has been happening since the early 1900's. You need to wake up and realize it.
War makes money, peace doesn't. We've been in a perpetual state of war for decades because it's profitable, not because we're the good guys and they're the bad guys. If war didn't make people money, we'd never be in war. Quote it.
Under bush, I heard claims of us being a "free market". Now under the dem's we are a "socialist economy". Shows you the perspective our presidents have on intel. It's foolish to believe that sort of shit, imo.

Making blanket statements such as that shows your true open mindedness. (rolls eyes)Yes, I voted for the one who would end these wars. I was making the point that your statement had no bearing on my vote. I trust no-one in my government with privileged information on the level they try to claim it.
You imply that all politicians have our best interests at heart. Who is the more ignorant one here? You obviously have no clue. You completely ignore the real strategic necessities of the defense of the nation and pass it off as "politicians are all corrupt."
Way to actually make a counter argument for your beliefs. My perspective has totally been changed! Go, wars in the middle east!Making blanket statements such as that shows your true open mindedness. (rolls eyes)
What war did congress not approve? They voted and approved operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Not saying it is right, just saying that the majority elected the person who approved it.Even if a war is "approved", I wouldn't say that means there is a good reason to be in it...
I guess that would be you, since the majority of politicians in the Chain of Command, and DOD are well intended. Do you think the Secretary of Defense's motives are all about money? You imply that all politicians have our best interests at heart. Who is the more ignorant one here?
Sir you don't know me, but it sounds to me like you would have been a draft dodger. If you don't love America then get the fuck out. People join the service now days they are not force to join.
This pretty much sums up your question. The last time American soldiers "fought for our freedoms" was WWII.
Since the 1950's, our soldiers have died fighting for the freedoms of those in control to profit from international conflict.
That's irrelevant, power isn't always about money in a direct sense. I'm not going to be bothered to refute your statements if you can't be bothered to actually refute any of mine. I'm not going to drive all the way to your house, because you can't meet me halfway.I guess that would be you, since the majority of politicians in the Chain of Command, and DOD are well intended, Do you think the Secretary of Defense's motives are all about money?
The Embassy IS American soil by treaty and international law.
Just like the Libyan Embassy in America is Libyan soil. We can't go there without permission
Can you name a single American war in the past 100 years that wasn't fought over for money. You obviously have no clue. You completely ignore the real strategic necessities of the defense of the nation and pass it off as "politicians are all corrupt."

Be careful now, I know my history..
World War II (1939–1945)
The Axis powers—Germany, Italy, and Japan—attempted to dominate the world. The Allies (U.S., Britain, France, USSR, and others) fought to stop them. The United States entered the war in 1941, after Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor. Germany surrendered in 1945, and Japan surrendered later that same year, after the U.S. dropped the atomic bomb on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
