GOP blocked cost-of-living adjustment for veterans

Spending bills must originate in Congress. Patty Murray is a senator, not a congressman. This "bill" was bogus to start with.
Actually the lower house (US House of Representatives) and the upper house (the Senate) are both part of Congress. They just call people in the Senate, Senators, to distinguish the difference. Both together make up Congress.

Clearly the increased domestic spending has done what it was supposed to (stimulated growth) now time to start cutting spending, starting with the military. Only raise taxes on wealthiest and stop war imo, between those, deficit is covered. The debt can be reduced if a surplus can be fit into the budget. In fact, if some strategic cuts can be fit into domestic policy as well, there could be a huge surplus to start paying down the debt and it doesn't have to come out of the safety net. As long as no military campaigns are going on, that should be easy. I'm willing to give up 42 bucks a month for that. There is no need for a fiscal cliff.

Recovery? Domestic Spending gave us Growth? No and No.

More like they tried to fix things by throwing money at it , but it didn't work. If it HAD WORKED then the Fed would not have to ease in unlimited amounts.
So what are they going to do now?
The exact opposite things and see if that works, but they just don't understand the math or how mathematical limits come into play. The deficit is so large now, that no amount of taxation or surplus can ever pay it off, it doesn't matter what they do, there is only one thing that is politically tenable at this point. Inflate the debt away. Of course this destroys the country and the middle class in the process, but if your gonna have everyone be equal (Except the pigs of course)you have to start from scratch. The truly wealthy will always stay wealthy, but the middle class and their pensions and 401K's are ripe for picking. SO in the end we will have a country of have nothings and the ultra wealthy, but hey, at least we can feel good about how the country is MOSTLY equal.

Fixed it for ya.
You didn't fix shit.

Unployed vets are part of that 47%, as are the surviving families of our dead soldiers. Sorry man, but if you think that $47 a month won't help at all you're as out of touch and self centered as Romney.

It is awesome that the food assistance program gets an inflation increase and the veterans who actually earned their benefits don't..... you should all be proud.

I didn't?

So you can prove the claim that more than 50% of all veterans in the nation are part of the 47% who pay no income tax?

I bet you can't.

Yeah it seems odd that they would just throw 12 million people under the bus like that. At least 12 million according to ink stain anyway since he thinks half of all veterans are poor and unemployed and part of the 47% who don't pay income taxes.
