You also asked about getting by without using boost...if you mean just skip it all together, I wouldn't be happy with the results. But you can absolutely sub it out for something less expensive. A lot of people use either the house and garden bud xl in its place or I've seen some amazing buds isn't canna bases plus atami bloombastic. Im sure you can use pretty much any other hydro/coco bloom nutes.Yeah, You're right. I do remember there being some reviews regarding co2 lvls and how much they are raised. If I remember correctly if you have the correct size tent and/or enough bags they work, But if not they don't raise the levels enough? I'll have to look into that further. I've been eyeing those bags for quite some time now.
Ok, I think that is it for now. I'm going to go check out that calculator a bit further and do some more research so later when I bother you my questions will at least reflect that of someone that has done at least the most rudimentary research first. lol.
Again puff, Thanks, I appreciate your help.
PS - I'd appreciate that spreadsheet but don't go crazy. If your going to post the nutrients your using throughout this grow I'll just copy them as you progress.
Over 90 seems really high. My understanding is the the higher the temps the more the plant stomata open to breathe, but I also know too hot and quality degrades and potential decreases. I think mid 70s to 80s is warm enough and still will see some benefits of co2. Maybe someone else can chime in if I'm wrong.I thought you had to run above 90 degrees Fahrenheit to see very much benefit from added co2. love hearing about reusing the inoculated bricks tho that's bad ass
Yeah, At the time I hadn't even looked at the calculator so I wasn't quite sure what was needed. It became obvious afterwards that the boost, or something similar, is a necessity but boy, Is that shit expensive. heh. Thanks for the suggestions, I'm going to do a little more research and see what I can find. You also asked about getting by without using boost...if you mean just skip it all together, I wouldn't be happy with the results. I would generally agree. We are looking for fall time temperatures, anything over 85 generally leads to the "more trouble than it's worth" category. In order for a plant to sustain that type of massive overclocking you would expect to have to maintain a substantial amount of light for plant to be able to out pace; hermaphriditism, re-vegging, and foliage burn if humidity/wind/water is not constantly maintained to perfection. In high heat, high humidity situations, your plant is looking for the easy way out.Over 90 seems really high. haha, I got the meter a couple days ago and it's way bigger than it looks in the picture. I'll get some pics up when it's all hooked up and turned on. Might be a few days on that. Yeah, I'm looking forward to doing some co2 experimenting again, with new methods, and if they don't work...maybe I'll do it psu style and light up some candles.^^^^^^^^^^^you bastard! .........that's the meter I originally wanted, but I cheapened out.............thanks for testing out those exhale bags/ you know how I feel about them, but it was tested by unknown sources.....you not the type to BS us about it's performance/will be good to see......thanks brother
That looks like some mighty good stuff there iLOVE. Over 1g/w is something to be proud of, great job. Love the breakdown explanation, much appreciated. If you catch the bags before the mushroom has "root bound" the coco brick, then you can throw it in a big 30 gallon bin with: 5gallons of trimmed leaves, 5 gallons of root material/finely ground stalks, 5gallons of kitchen compost, 6gallons of old soil, 2 gallons of coco/peatmoss, and 1 gallon of rice/bean/old pantry starch flour. Blend this mixture thoroughly and water once weekly with 2 solo cups of water.
After two water sessions the bed will be prepped and you don't have to buy the mushroom bag. The mycorrhizae in the old soil will be enough. Especially if you follow the super soil method.Anyway this mixture, along with an inoculation of the soil, was kept in at thirty gallon tube that had a ducting with a 15 watt fan sucking air out of a hole in the lid.
My yields got above 1gram/watt with this and combining spectra/changing spectra at certain stages of flowering. There are a lot of ways to bring CO2 into your room. If you own a home, or are a long term renter, than there is no problem with this. I plan on doing this when I get back home, and finally finishing that god damned prototype.

^The first picture shows my sea of green style with my Durban X AutoJacks, she was photoperiod grown into single colas or three colas if she vegged long enough, she produced between 16-20grams/.7gallons of soil. I used armies of clones to grow in old milk jugs, they were dark dark times indeed. All of these pictures were taken a couple years back when I was just a major lurker. Funny how things come and go in a cycle like that. Fucking lolipopping man.

I've never used GH products but I do have a good buddy who runs the gh flora nova line in coco and he gets some really nice plants as well. It's really all just personal preference at the end of the day.Hey puff, How do you feel about GH Bloom as opposed to the other much higher alternatives? I'm still researching.... heh.
Thanks for joining in on the fun, alex!Oh man, looks like were going to have another badass grow here for sure! SUBBED!
Glad you subbed up, sobs! I'll have to make my way over to your new thread and check out the dr. atomic nl...im thrilled with how mine turned out. Truly a medicinal strain.Hey Puff looking good.
Sounds like a nice choice of strain although I have never actually seen or heard of them before.
Now that I know how to sub I am subb'd!
GOOD Luck
You always have some great advice that comes with a unique twist. Thanks for the input, if I could do that at the moment, I would. Had to settle for some organic spray. Keep the great comments rolling in.Yeah, I always bomb the soil of any clone I get before I even bring it back to my place, then I bomb it again. You know us whites. Seriously though Neem Oil and Azomax work wonders. If you ever decide to go organic you can have predator mites in your soil and they wont die off until they've gone a month or so without food. It's fun to watch the colonies of predators grow and grow. Then they all die from starvation and their brave little bodies return to the earth that they proudly defended to their dying breath.
Green house mites are so great, they gave me a so much more respect for organics. I was like "Shit, now I never have to worry about mites ever again", because all of the sudden you have mites of your own and they are more than happy to eat all the other mites babies. They don't actually kill the adults of anything they kill the larvae and eggs, but if you need something for adults you just pick up lady bugs.
The first generation of invaders slowly eaten away as their children are robbed from their cradles and used to feed your hungry army, it's some brutal stuff. Makes for amazing entertainment. Your army even sends out patrols from time to time, they go places they don't normally to search for food once their supply is low. A good organic environment is supplied the resources, and biology, to utilize what they need and protect the equilibrium.
Sincerely,
ILovePlants
P.S. Those clones look like some luscious little buggers! Can't wait for the 12-12, I'm sure you are eager as well
Thank you sir, they actually look better today after their feeding last night. Tempted to break away from the weekly updates already and upload some fresh pics...ha, maybe in a couple days...oh shit, did I unknowingly make reference to buying a new panel?? true signs I need help...I don't think I'll be getting anything new for at least another round or two but the lumigrow is definitely near the top of the list. Yeah I saw that they changed it up, looks sharp with the new color. Happy growing back at you, looking forward to whatever you got planned next. The clones look good puff....Fucking mites from a dispensary!/ a disgrace IMO....yeah what Ilove said and hyroot always says about that ancient forest containing pred mites...I have my own organic mix/ need a gas mask too make/apply it lol, absolute death......hmmm did see a hint for a new light/ my money's on lumigrow pro 325 did you notice that they changed the fixture color to white/gray? guess that famous blue color is finished............happy growing puff
I would if I could, but I can't my Zman...only space for one tent and my old closet is in use by the old lady. I would love to have my own mothers where I could pick and choose my phenos and continue with a same strain for more than one round...but I'm limited to clones and 1 tent at the moment to get me through full cycle. Great advice about not bringing in outside objects to your environment. This place also test their dry flowers at a lab for mold, thc content, etc so I'm wondering why it's ok for the clones to come with pests...someone's slacking on the job. But as far as the genetics, I'm not worried, I'm sure they are just fine, the last round from this place turned out amazing. Thanks for the comment.why don't you just use one of those clones and turn it into a mother? It would keep all outside contaminates off of your shit and best of all, you know where it came from. I will never bring in anything from outside of my room... and plus you do not know what kind of mother they took it from... did they weed out any bad genetics from it first? if not, your best bet is to generation that crap out
Well it sure as hell ain't a party unless The Dawg is in the house, so now it's official, welcome aboard brother. Plenty of room in the front row still. No, I have not ordered the Silent 150 yet, taking a vacation soon and have to pay that off first. It will come for sure. So how Silent is it really? I'm sure it makes some noise...Comparable to what? Thank you, peace and I love Sally.Well Shit The Bed Fred.Im Subbed Up.Looking Awsome Brother.Did You Get Your TD Silent 150 Yet
Yeah, they are doing just fine indeed. Believe me, I can't believe it either...hell will be raised...The clones appear to be taking to the x-plant just fine. I can't believe a dispensary sent you home with mites. I for one would raise hell with them the next time I was there...
*Gets pencil; Starts jotting down nutrient notes*
