I had 4 bikes until a couple months ago,an flh,a dyna,a buell and a roadglide,in april i got taken out at 40mph by an illegal alien who decided to pull over to the right shoulder and stop and then decided to make a u turn right in front of me,broken leg,broken foot,two toasted knees,one toasted elbow,3 discs in my neck and 4 in my low back crushed and a concussion that still affects me to this day.She had no insurance and a junker salvage title honda accordThe flh and dyna are already sold and buell and roadglide are next,35 fucking years riding on 2 wheels and not one thing i could have done to avoid it,she got a ticket and i got the shaft,have not worked in 5 months.Im one of the lucky ones though,at least i get a second chance.Wear a GOOD helmet and gear,cruuuuuise and enjoy the ride and try not to do anything stupid as everyone else around you will do plenty of that for you.I dont know if ill ride again,maybe,havent made up my mind yet but if i do ill probably get me a BMW GS and stick to the backroads,Maybe.
Oh and one more thing,have at least a hundred grand underinsured/uninsured motorist AND med pay on your insurance,If you dont have these two things your an idiot,i had the hundred grand but no medpay and the 100k was gone in 60 seconds LOL.
