New York Bans Large Sodas

Yeah, there you go, the ability to purchase large tubs of disease producing liquid at will is the "freedom" our forefathers endangered their life, liberty and property for.

A "normal" person doesn't need 64 ounces of mountain dew.
Stupid law
I wish Bloomberg had stayed a republican

If it keeps some clowns from drinking this crap, all the better. The regulation will make vendors more money.

Wow, really?

I've always preferred freedom to regulation.

Maybe the vendors could just sell two 32 ouncers for the same price their old 64 used to cost. Then what, we just ban soda all together? Who gets to draw the line and say when enough is enough? What "crap" do you do daily that someone wants to ban and how would you feel about that?

What country is this again?

But I won't get too excited because tomorrow my day will still be the same. The joys of living outside the walls of society. You guys have fun telling each other what to do tomorrow.

Define normal.

They endangered themselves for all freedoms, not just the ones you agree with. Takes a hell of a person to put it all on the line for everyone's freedom.

i'll leave it at this.. take cigarettes for instance.. i can go into a store in nyc and buy either a pack of 20 of them, or i can buy a cartoon of them in the same stores.. surely a cartoon of smokes is much worse for me and the people around me than a big gulp is..
True. Funny I'm a supposed "libtard" but I agree with you basically.

How about we put warning labels on the soda like we do cigarettes.
" Warning: Excessive use of this product can lead to Diabetes and make you a fat assed sweaty lump of shit"

If people are unaware of the fact that excessive consumption of carbonated sugar drinks will cause health problems they're probably deserving of self-inflicted natural selection.

They should be allowed make that choice tho.

Huh?

You made me reread my post. Don't know how but it seems you're misunderstanding me.

People can drink whatever they want. The law is dumb.

This is a democrat thing called (government control)
A Democrat before seeking elective office, Bloomberg switched his registration in 2001 and ran for mayor as a Republican, winning the election that year and a second term in 2005. Bloomberg left the Republican Party over policy and philosophical disagreements with national party leadership in 2007 and ran for his third term in 2009 as an independent candidate on the Republican ballot line

I can only assume the people complaining about this are really fat. But this is another good thing for the economy. Cigs have been taxed like crazy and the prices skyrocketed in the last 5-10 years. you gotta pay a little more to flex those rights to be unhealthy. (you want a bellyfull of soda, pay salestax 2 or 3 times to get your fill)

I'm 100% certain Republicans are closet racists, their "logic" as to why they don't like Obama is utter bullshit. It's all shitty justifications to hide the real reason. They're racist gun toting shitbags who I'm certain would have slaves if they could. Of course they'd never admit it. I would actually love for one to, I'd actually be able to respect them for being honest instead of hiding behind lies like the pussies they are.

i'm not a big soda person myself, but this is effin retarded, and i think you hit it on the head saying normal people are getting shit on because of fat people.. :(
Not quite. "Normal people" are getting shit on because they accept the premise that government can tell anybody, fat, skinny etc, that the government can tell them what they may consume. Blaming fat people for the actions of an aggressing government is like kicking the cat when you stub your toe.

A NICE person doesn't concern themselves with what others do or do not consume. They respect other persons rights to control their own bodies and live with the result of their decisions. If "normal" is telling others what to do, that seems to be the same "logic" used by pot prohibitionists...

So basically what you are saying is that Bloombwerg was a lifelong democrat until one day he woke up and realized how stupid that was so then he ran repub and found that was stupid too so now he is a independent.

Know what I got out of your post? Democrats and republicans are stupid, and I agree.

Do we all think this of each other, cause I believe democrats are the closet racists who just talk a good game.

Clearly democrats are closet racists when they have whites, blacks, Mexicans, Cubans ect ect.. Republicans have what? White people, a few blacks and probably 2 people of Spanish decent.

Democrats just want to enslave each other. Republicans want the world to be a happy, loving place, clearly their ethnic makeup shows that(epic sarcasm)
