Sounds crazy.. but if it's working for you then keep it up.

But, I'll swear to any god you like that if you adopted a more traditional method you'll do better. I don't know that nute.. But, like I said, keep it up, but you really shouldn't be loosing too many leaves.. As for the growth, that's normal. Into flower you'll get stretching, or extreme vertical growth. But that normally only last about 2-3 weeks then, in my mind, flower has set and it's time to bulk up. What I do is feed the stretch until it's stopped then pile on the flower food. So, the first two weeks of flower it's a mix of flower and grow food for me. This keeps it green and happy though the flower set and off to a great start.

Ben knows the sats more then anyone... here.

Meh. There are a lot of overpriced and unnecessary products there for sure, but the GO line works well and isn't very expensive. It allows a lot of fine tuning, is a vegan FPE product, and it works well. For those of us averse to using petro-derived synthetics, it's a decent alternative.
 
My ladies are just starting to flower outdoors... Will I see any affects starting this late?
 
If you don't think it works just try this.... Mix 1 cup of household amonia in a hose end spray cup and spray half of your lawn and watch is turn deep green in a week and you will see the color change for yourself. Learned this 20 years ago....

I have a couple of questions to the foliar experts here. I love Foliar Feeding is relaxing and give me something extra to do. I do not grow comercially just 6 plants. In addition, I like to be tending the garden all night long and foliar feeding is a relaxing connection I have with the plants.

Can I foliar in a daily basis ? Right now I do it once a week and very shy. However; since I read this entitre thread in the last couple of days, I'm excited about try it in a daily basis at a higher concentration. I mention, I do it every week, but I have never correct deficiencies with foliar. For some reason it seems doesn't work for me. I usually fix the problems at the root. However; I have to mention my foliar solution is no higher than 300ppm.

I want to start using the Foliar Solution at the same streghnt as the Root nutrients solutions. Which is around 800-900ppm. I use wetting agent with my mix.

My plants are flowering at their 3rd week. I really do not mind spraying and then washing with water if I have to. I do have excellent air circulation and my temps are around 78F under the light. I ask becuase there is so much foliar products that says use until the day of harvest.

Are those foliar solutions by any chance organics ? something that you can ingest with no consequences ? What do you recommend to wash the feeding solution of the leaves ?

I do have Neem Oil, but its says "Leaf Polisher" I don't know if that means, it will wash the solution off the leaves. Any inputs ?

It it safe to add molasses to mix to create the glossy effect ? Or exist a specific products or homemade solution for that ?

You're trying to find a magic bullet, a gimmick, not sure why. You use foliar feeding to supplement what is not being applied correctly or efficiently taken in at the root zone. It can all add up to stress if the plant receives too much salts and in the wrong NPK values. I'm having yellowing problems and a little premature leaf necrosis on outdoor plants and there's a good reason for it - too much water which is flushing the N salts from the pots, in spite of the slow release encapsulated food they get (18-4-9 with micros). Yes, that's right, and some are flowering like mofos, all except the O. Haze. I had them on 5 gal./hour emitters running the system for 2 hours a day. I changed the emitters yesterday to 1 gal./hour. I sprayed with a special foliar spray that contains a low biuret urea and a special iron compound. Product is called Ferromec AC. http://www.pbigordon.com/pdfs/FerromecAC-SL.pdf I'll know in a couple of days if I burned them as I may have done an "aw shit" by using too high a rate. I also added at least a cup of the mix to all my pots which are 5 gallon.

Very important - if you're not using a spreader/sticker in your spray it will be useless, especially with cannabis which has a very high leaf surface tension, much like a rose leaf. You can buy cheap non-ionic surfactants from feed stores, nurseries, etc. like Red River. Use at a rate of 1 tsp./gal. I use an expensive ass kicker called Surf-King which imparts 3 really nice traits - it lowers pH of the mix about a point, works as a strong penetrant, and is like a glue which makes it rain proof (active ingredients are made available for extended stomata uptake.)

Any kind of a N salt will greatly increase foliar uptake. I choose a sprayable form of ammonium sulfate available at feed stores or in the case of Ferromec, they add urea.

Don't load your plant with sprays later on into the flowering season.

- you could foliar feed on a daily basis. But even with optimal exhaust i would think you would end up with powdery mildew. I would think the buildup on the leaves would start to harm at some point.

- Most companies selling you something for your plant will tell you to use it up until harvest. unless it would be very harmful to you. if they had a believable reason to tell you to use it after harvest they probably would. I don't think that organic are more likely to say that... but if they are organic it probably says so on the bottle, bag, box, whatever.

- organic doesn't mean safer to consume, despite popular belief.

- water would be the best thing to use for washing the leaves as far as i know. it makes sense. spraying with water also sort of "flushes" the leaves of nutrients from what i understand. so i guess it's a little counter productive. maybe look into using a zyme, like hygrozyme. that's just a guess, i have no clue.

- i believe the "polisher" is more about giving the leaf a film like layer. I do not believe neem will clean your leaves. the opposite actually.

Daily foliar feeding sounds like a disaster in the making to me. Even if you did it every other day, and even with low rh and good exhaust, I am almost positive you will end up with some powdery mildew. That's just my opinion though.

Fuck it, try it out. Start a thread up and you will probably get more in on the discussion. i can tell you now you will have a lot of people tell you it's a bad idea. im pretty much one of them. but i am always up to discussing and trying new things.

(EDIT, should read like this;)To Tio Ben, I've been reading most of yur post and learning from your experience too. Don't be jealous, you are a Mr Miyagi to me "You know the plant"

Do you recommend Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro ? I've always have N deficient most of the time. I use most AN(Sensi) and GH (Lucas) for some reason N always is depleted before I reach week 4th.

Tio Ben, I have another question. What usually do you do to correct N def. ? Can I top dress Blood Meal or is too much because I'm in flowering ?
