Cloning Experement - Honey vs Schultz Take Root vs Clonex gel

Progressive Options in LA. Best source for elite genetics (clone only)... probably in the world.

www.pogenetics.com

Edit: Although im sure if your in North Cal you are not having a shortage of amazing genetics. Humboldt produces some stuff which probably couldn't be duplicated anywhere else just because of the conditions there etc. and the many years of growing in the area.
I don't disagree with this statement. But I will add the caveat that their elite genetics are not for novice growers. Hell, they ain't even for intermediates.

LOL LordJin is correct. Many of them; if not all are a complete bitch to grow.

I heard people sell.cuts on craigslist out there too. I would love to take a road trip to the west coast. ;)
If you think this will get you out of the recommendation thing your dead wrong. Yes, even people on craigslist will not only check that you have a reccomenadtion, they will validate it before meeting with you (usually via website). Trust me bro, getting the rec is the easy part. Bring $300 extra for it and hopefully you can get one for half or less that amount. If you do not plan for this in advance I guarantee you'll most likley be very disappointed after 15 hours of driving.

Hes right although you do got a 1 out of 10 chance someone will give them to ive meet up people without them asking for my paper (had it just in case anyway) and to get evaluated only costed me 65 dollars

(bubbleponics)would a 6 site 5 gal bucket with a irrigation manifold with tubes running up to the stems work for cloning ,isnt that the same as the EZ cloner kinda? cuz i could make 1 with extra materials i got laying around

See I would be right at home, I know how to deal with bitches. I have an ex wife, and a current one for that matter... I've been dealing with bitches my entire adult life :) I would love to get my hands on some good genes, maybe some day.. so is the cloning experiment going to see a take 2?????

Its just a matter of there what environment they thrive in and eating patterns I grew strawberry cough my first time and it sucked , you just got to pay attention to them and your good. Ive yet came across a strain thats givin me a tremendous amount of trouble, and i would say my growing skills are just slightly above beginner

I made this for about 50 dollars in less than an hour. It has a bunch of mini spray heads on half inch PVC. Add an airstone and a dome on top and it would rock some clones.

whats your success rate on that and what kind of solution do you use? but do you think the bubbleponic sytem would work? and i thought if the roots are getting misted all the time they didnt need a dome?,like the Ez cloner

You're probably right. I haven't used this one yet, but I built a simple.version out of a 7 inch tall sterilite tub and some long airstone at the bottom, it worked very well for rooting but I had to add some peroxide to prevent algae from growing, but it probably had something to do with the high temps too. This is an upgraded version of the other one so it would in theory work much better. I just like building things and trying to improve on my failures. I got about a 50% success with the airstone version, I would imagine this one would be much higher than that. It would form the white nodules or pre roots whatever they are called within a week and roots soon after.

I missed the solution part... Pure water and some peroxide is all I used. I'm no clone master though, lol. I came here to learn about az's techniques with honey. :)

yea me neither lol i just started to clone ,dont know a whole lot just the basics to get 3/10 lol but honestly maybe i could do a lil better if i paid more attention to em lol sometimes i leave the house and stay away for long periods of times so misting them becomes absent some days:/

I guess pretty much everyone uses perilite now, lol. I use 100% pure coco coir. I know everyone is screaming "what about drainage!!!", but coco drains very well on its own... Like subcool says, watering less often is easier. I punch extra holes in the container I use or put a handfuls of hydroton in before I add the coco, but the best characteristic of coco is that it will tend to self balance its moisture evenly throughout the container as long as you water it slowly. Sub also says more perilite means less growing media (he uses all organic super soil stuff, I haven't ventured into that stuff yet, but it should be similar for coco). I guess I am just lazy and don't want to blend perilite or buy it pre mixed. ;)
The only people screaming what about drainage have never tried coco. I would ask what can perlite possibly do for coco :?: With coco you can water everyday if you want to. It is very close to drying out too fast. If I go more than one day without water some plants will droop. Coco will easily rinse clean and be ready for reuse. What can you do with perlite other than trash it :?:

I have never used coco, I've seen good grows in it though.. it all boils down to how well you can use 'your method.' Nothing works for everybody and everything works for somebody, are you driftin' my catch? I just wanted to mention that lots of people wash/reuse their perlite. Perlite has been used for years and years to successfully grow pot, there may be better stuff out there now but it still has it's place, at the very least- in history. I use perlite, but again I'm not a coco grower. I like the advantages coco has to offer, but if your method already works for you then there's no reason to change it.

The purpose of perlite is to add air/oxygen to the soil & to improve drainage. Even completely soaked coco coir is too-wet, that would be the only way I could see perlite being of any benefit to coco coir... you may have to water even more frequently but ideally you want your growing media to be 50% moisture and 50% air as often as possible.

I saw that you got the cloner but why didn't you just build one for cheaper?

I added it all up and I did not think it would be cheaper. Plus I was too lazy to make it.
