Watching this convention, I have completely lost all hope for the Republican party. The whole thing was faked and claimed as a working convention. Any objections to rules changes or nominee picks were ignored. All calls for divisions were ignored, meaning they did not count votes. The teleprompter was even filmed, showing that the whole thing was scripted and any objections were prescripted to be ignored. The RNC implemented a rules change which mandated that a candidate must now have a plurality in 8 states instead of 5. Ron Paul had a plurality of 6 states, so after the rules change, his votes weren't even acknowledged. The change in the rules allowed for Rmoney to replace delegates in states to his liking. There was much objection to the rules change, as it took away states power in the GOP process. This objection came not only from Ron Paul supporters, but many others with common sense. A woman was even assaulted for passing around a petition to the rules change.
"At one point, the male delegate from Massachusetts (Devito) snatched it out of the hands of the lady (Senator Sitte) from North Dakota, refusing to give it back after repeated demands, resulting in a shoving match when the delegate from Colorado came to her defense."

It was a disgusting display of a "democratic process" and really shows the stranglehold that the two party system has on our political system. All signs were confiscated, and participants were only allowed to have standard MITT signs that were passed out. Isn't the whole point of the convention to elect candidates and adopt rules changes? What is the point of having a delegate process if this is how it is run? If delegates are exactly proportional from now on to the popular vote, and delegates have no say, wtf is the point? We might as well just let the GOP leaders pick the candidate, since they do anyway. Might as well be honest about the process and not let us vote.
Anyways, any further attempts to try and work together with Republicans is history for me. There whole message is fake, the GOP leadership preaches rugged individualism for everyone but themselves. What a giant farce. I ain't mad though, I am happy to be moving on from the obsurdity that is the GOP. I knew they were corrupt, but this really opened my eyes.
