Epsom salts add Mg, not Nitrogen. It does not appear to be an N problem to me. N deficiency starts at the bottom leaves of the plant. It's tough to diagnose cause it could be all of 12 different things........

The poor dear looks famished to me. A shot of cal-mag (the kind with nitrogen) would be my first action. Is that soil or a soilless mix?

ya says cal mag plus w. trace minerals. calcium magnesium iron and nitrogen. 2-0-0. she looks even worse than photo shows shows so i hope this works. im gon go feed now. 1tsp/g of water. now does that mean for every g of water? i use 3-4/watering so... 3-4 tsp for her?

Sounds right. If this doesn't yield results, the next question is: what's your water quality? Do you have another nitrate-based N source handy? cn

It could be any of the above or it could have been a plant that was a bit sick and was not drinking as much as the rest but you said that you watered them all the same so over time you over watered that plant. lift the containers and see if the sick one is twice the weight. Looks like some of my over watered plants.

As far as the Epsom salts. I add 1/2 tsp per gal every watering. I can't even remember why I've just always done that. Someone out there shuld be able to refresh my memory.

no no. its 2 tsp per gallon epsom for mature plants. that plant looks pretty sickly tho. if it was me, i would ditch it and start over. its probably not going to produce enough bud to make the effort worthwhile.

If it were my plant, I'd be doing experiments ... see what makes it worse and what makes it better. While it isn't the sort of plant one would want to show off, the distressed ones are the teachers. No learning from mistakes if you don't make'm, and then chase the solution. Jmo. cn

MJ is a crazy tough plant. I've seen them bounce back from all kinds of crazy stuff.

Keep on truckin imo.

Lowering pH: two approaches.

In soil, folks use aluminum sulfate. This is popular with hydrangea growers who like their flowers blue.

Better approach: hydro "pH-down" which is typically phosphoric and sometimes nitric acid.

When you say your pH is extremely high ... numbers? Where and when measured? cn

Just exactly how much of that Epson Salt did you add? Anything more than a pinch.. What you could put in a 1 hitter is to much per 5 gallons.. FLUSH! FLUSH! FLUSH!

Actually, Epsom isn't very dense. A gram per liter is a good dosing, and a gram is most of a teaspoon. I always weigh the stuff. cn
