Dear Bicyclist...

I support your right to ride your bicycle. I also genuinely like the idea that you're not spending money on gas. I too once upon a time enjoyed riding my bicycle. But alas I can not read minds. When you maneuver from flying down the right shoulder to cutting across to the left turn lane a heads up would be nice. I almost killed you. I think we should come up with some kind of hand gesture we can all agree upon. I thought there was such a thing but I guess not.

Sincerely,

That black truck that almost killed you.

LMFAO try dealing with a bunch of people whom think u stole their land and feel it's ok to just walk right in front of u when they cross the street, they don't even look or stop they just walk, stollers and all, i've nearly taken out a few. Funny is their reaction when u slam on ur brks and yell wtf, they look at u as if u have raped them and they just stand there, lol classic was dude in the black truck behind me getting out and pushing the stroller himself rflmao, no even gonna start on about the cyclist....

Wait was that u neo?

I just stick to trail riding because most drivers are oblivious to everything except the car in front of them

Or I love when they ride in the middle of the road doing 1/4 of the speed limit backing up traffic.

Sometimes actually this is the wise maneuver, like for a turn lane ... otherwise drivers are tempted to squeeze on by.

Neo, a set of universal hand signals does exist, as does a universal one for critiquing purposes by the audience. get modern and go digital! ~grin~ cn

Sorry, don't mean to be rude but, you are as antiquated as the dinosaur. Paying attention to anything on the road went out with cellphones and texting.

It's good you stck to trails. Bicycles on road ways are really a roving accident looking for an attention grabbing location for the best possible display option. :-P

Maybe people in cars should get a dose of the smarts about phones and texting. cn

It pisses me off to no end when you respect a cyclist, share the road with them, and then while I'm sitting at a red light they come flying by and go right thru the red light, because traffic laws obviously don't apply to them.

Which makes it soooo satisfying to squeeze them onto the shoulder of the road as soon as the light turns green and I catch up to their asses !!!!!!!!!!

why do i need to answer my phone in the car or text, my social life is not in charge of my actions
Ya I thik most people on here grew up sans cell phone and we did just fine, now peole exchange pointless messages all day in a lame attempt to feel cool and popular, do status updates really matter? no I don't wanna see more pics our kids how can i miss them ad gush over how much they have grown if i see them online everyday. Or bettr yet people texting their loved ones, who are right nex to them lol. I dated this guy recently who kept texting me shit lik " ur so pretty" " kiss me" while i sat next to him, ya sweet maybe but i prefer eye contact and a real exchange of words, body language...

Why do people get so upset if u tak a while to text back, seriously i'm not looking at that thing waiting for pointless messages lol fuck I hate stupid text lol

end rant.... bongs do this to me.

In my area there is a thing called RAGBRAI every year. Thousands of riders from around the world show up to ride across the state and totally fucking up traffic. A seven day event that requires police, sheriff deputies, and high way patrol to stop traffic for the riders, up to 30 min traffic stops. Two of them got hit this year because they start riding before the sun comes up and it is still dark.
No lights, no safety flag like on mopeds, very few wear reflective colors...and they blame the vehicle drivers when they get hit.
You can not operate a motorcycle on the road without fully functional DOT lights (head light, tail light, turning signal lights, a horn) and these idiots start riding around 4-5AM in the dark with none of the above...and not having any insurance.

When I passed through Sturgis, I didn't see one, not one, loose tit. :cuss: cn
What a waste... When I was there was lots of chicks rocking the bandaid over the nipples, or the body paint. But lots of bare breasts once things got fired up later into the afternoon/evening.

i wouldn't mind the bicyclists so much if the rules of the road were enforced on them the way they get enforced on motorists. they can ride in the road but can blow stop signs and red lights without punishment. no ticket, no insurance surcharge, nothing.

if there is a 3 lane road with no shoulder or breakdown lane, there is no fucking room for you, bikeface. you are now a hazard. if i'm in the right lane i can't squeeze left because there are cars there. when you swerve left to avoid the sewer drain you are a hazard. get the fuck off your bike and walk it until it is safe to ride, or take a different route.

it's an old city and most main roads here were not designed to accomodate both bicycles and automobiles. if i stop in the middle of busy traffic to let someone out of a side street, i am guilty of "obstructing the flow of traffic". if a bicyclist invents a place to ride on a narrow street and leaves a line of traffic behind him, he's "following the law".

still doesn't bother me as much as jaywalkers, though. my scumbag state doesn't even have jaywalking laws in effect in any city or town. the entitlement of some people is unbelievable.
