Yes, and I have never really heard it put this way. It's taught in the popular wisdom that the one that zigs when the saber cat zags, is the one that makes it home for speech lessons, doggies style with the wife.

But, this, for me, at least, is a new concept. After food and wife lessons, sleep dreams to make you a better zigger for more sex!

Husband recites, in doggie style.

Share your most awesomest expieriences of lucid dreaming and visits to the astral world.
I have lucid dreamed a few times, it doesn't come easy to me. I don't usually remember dreams ;(
A friend of mine has always been able to lucid dream atleast 2 times a month, and he sometimes saw a black shadow like figure flying over him, one time, he smoked with his friends, was kinda sleepy so he closed eyes and (this has happened before ) he was able to see the room with eyes closed, and then he felt the entity behind him, it went into him and he almost couldn't explain how he felt, that it was in him, he wanted to get it out, but then he undestood, he could control it, so he kind of pushed it in his friend, and he felt his friend, his head inside and stuff like that, also he could flex even the tiniest muscle without others moving, like on hands and stuff. So the friend starts freaking out and his eyes were black and so my friend like pulls the entity inside of himself again, then he felt sick and vomited, and that moment he feldt the entity leave and he felt good aagain. Super scary seems to me tho. The astral world is as dangerous as this world IMO.
TL;DR version: Damn astral world, you scary!
Dude.. I have only been able to have an OBE once. It scared the living daylights out of me and instantly snapped back in.
Bright fucking light came at me so quick I didn't have time to react or adjust to it. Vibrations and noises were so amplified. I want to do it again, but I'm scared. They say that's the biggest part is getting over your fear. Phew. Easier said than done.

I had the very same experience as you. I was meditating and came out and looked at myself and as soon as i realized what was happening i got so scared that i snapped back in that instance. I tried it again, this time i stayed out but had the felling that i was dying which was scary as hell. Well i didn't die :) and the fear went slowly away. I moved around in my apartment thru walls like they weren't even there. The colors were so vibrant and alive, it was like i have been living in a dark cell for all my life and someone let in the sun for the first time. Since then i traveled many times and saw and experienced things i cant even begin to explain. The thing i realized is that we are living on a specific wavelength or vibration however you want to put it, and there are things and beings living on different ones, side by side with us. They cant see us and we cant see them, only when we match the vibration things are revealed to us. If you do start practicing this be prepared to have some really horrific experiences and some beautiful unique ones. Both will change your view how you perceive reality. :)

Someone should take everyone here through an astral projection experience. I've been close.. I think.. The couple times were drug induced from DXM. And the other was from an overdose of psychedelics and synthetic weed. That was more of a NDE though, different catagory I think.

During meditation I have gotten to past the point only a few times where your heart starts beating so fast that it feels like it is going a million BPM, then just turns into nothing, taking you into a void of talking people.. Memories.. Almost like a k-hole, however way more vivid. Never went out of body though. Ive always been 'inside'.

The time on DXM though I floated up and out of my body, and was glued to the ceiling looking down at myself listening to everyones conversations.. Strange.. I was also probably around 13 years old.

What happens during astral projection though? Ive heard some bizarre stories about it, but it just.. Ahh.. How can you practice getting there through meditation or lucid dreaming? I feel like lucid dreaming is only going on in your brain, same with meditation, but that dxm experience showed me otherwise. So whats it all about? Whats up with the umbilical chord thing? Someone take me through it haha

Contrary to popular belief, astral projection occurs within the mind. Without the machine workings of the brain, the consciousness has no bearing, nothing to process the information.

When you presume to astral project, as i have done many times, it is merely within the dream realm, not within the waking life.

You do not actually leave your body, it just seems and feels as if you do. Without your body, the consciousness would not be able to work.

Everything is connected. -Pun intended.

Yes, everything is connected, like when you astral project many people say there is a cord attaching them to their body. Im sorry Zaehet, but when you see what your friends are doing through astral projection and you turn out to be exactly right, you are leaving your body and exploring. This is one of those things that are uncertain according to science, please dont claim certainty to it because you are deluding yourself and others by doing so. You are merely giving a false meaning to this experience and making it fit your own beliefs so you can feel comfortable.

It comes natural to you at some point in your life. I had to try just about everything there was out there with a label "spiritual". When you find the right one, its not the mind that tells you that this is right for you but your whole being.
What happens? Ill tell you from my experience. As i meditated my body started to vibrate, it was a strange feeling, as if something was trying to detach from this dense body. As i mentioned in a post above the first one was horrifying and lasted no more than 2 seconds. But such are things with all new experiences. In my experience when i project everything becomes alive, nothings looks like the way you see it right now. You see everything is just energy going at a different wavelength. In my first few i just flew around my house, which is amusing as hell let me tell you. I decided that i have the balls to take it outside, i wasn't comfortable leaving my body and stray away. I did it anyways, i went outside and starred at street lights as if i never saw them before. It was energy emitting even more energy. I watched them for god knows how long. Time doesn't flow the same way and getting used to it was probably the hardest thing. I dont know if i can quite explain it, but when you dont observe things time doesn't exist. I see many many different entities which usually dont even care if your there or not, they just are there and the next moment they are not. Few times some came up to me and checked me out, there were no faces but you still know that they are "watching" you. I have never had conversations with anything or anyone while projecting. Words become meaningless, you do it all with emotions and feeling. Fun part is manifesting things. Whatever comes to your mind it instantly becomes reality. I let my material ego have some fun and it imagined a mountain of money, sports cars, castles and 1000s and 1000s of hot women there just for me. :D Umbilical chord? Well not quite. There is no line connecting you and your body that you could see only a conscious connection with your body thru-out the whole thing. Maybe some people do see a line, i dont. I never gained any special knowledge from my travels except one. You see that there are many many plains on which things can exist and to experience them you have to match the wavelength they are on. It took me nearly a year of conscious practicing before the first signs appeared that something is about to happen. I now do it regularly, just for the fun of it. True insights came from self inquiry but thats a whole another story.:)

If this was true, as i have done this through my own experiences through astral projection, i would be able to reproduce the effects 100% of the time... unfortunately these presumptions are merely based on assumptions. I have seen my friends/family doing things, but the only time this can be replicated or repeated is if the people are in my own house and are close enough for my body to hear, i can hear them talking/moving around within my subconscious. I have been able to guess what my other friends are doing as i have traveled to their houses, but every time i call and say DUDE! I just visited you in my dreams and you were ______. Were you doing that?! 9 times out of 10, my guess is wrong.

If popular belief of astral projection was true, i would be able to be accurate as of what my friends were doing 100% of the time, which is not the case.

Thats your personal experience, it is subjective, holds nothing in reality. Theres many others who are completely accurate about what they see during OBE's and astral projections. Your personal subjective experience abolishes what they say to be true? gimme a break man.

Just making sure this doesnt go un-noticed.

Dont think its quite so. At least from what i have experienced. There is a strong sense of separation. I asked myself the same thing you just said. Is this all in my mind? The thing that convinced me otherwise was a quite stupid situation. When i was still living at home i used to project a lot. When exploring my house while projecting i saw a box of cigarettes on top of a closet behind a box. I asked my mother the next day why is there a box of ciggies up there. She bulged her eyes out and told me that when she was pregnant with me, she had a strong urge to smoke here and there and hid her cigarettes up there so no-one could find them and forgot about them all-together. I was never up there nor does my mother smoke now. so how would i know? The only logical explanation to me was that i do actually separate from my body and gain knowledge that was not there prior.

Have you ever seen the movie phenomenon? In one part he explains that the largest living organism on Earth is a system of trees that are all interconnected, and that we are interconnected with nature in the same way. So he is able to move objects with his mind saying anybody can do it if you just learn.

I used that knowledge during lucid dreaming to learn how to use 'the force' hehe.. Sometimes it doesn't work, but if you really concentrate, and 'tell' the object to move. It will do it willingly.

Of course since all lucid dreaming states are happening within ones mind, this is possible. And its also how solipsism is proven wrong. If someone could do it in the physical plane, theyd be pretty special. Think anyone can? Surely if one knew how to use this power they would be wise enough to keep it a secret.. For whatever reasoning that we don't understand.. Who knows?

Do you think that there is a way to connect the spiritual and physical realm into one?

Also have you ever been hypnotized? Or seen it be done?

I cant remember what the name of this famous hypnotist is, Dr. something. He made himself valuable to the military by hypnotizing a secretary and getting her to give him a top secret document then coming back to reality not remembering a thing, ballzy move to prove yourself. He would give people post hypnotic suggestions when they are hypnotized, like "your daughter will be invisible for 30 minutes", and when he becomes completely conscious he wouldnt be able to see or hear his daughter who would be right in front of him. Dr. so-n-so then quickly pressed a pocket watch into the small of the daughters back and asked the father to read it, and he did, he seen right through her. Your sub conscious just blindly obeys these post hypnotic suggestions and it alters the persons reality. He could even hypnotize people and get them to astral project and explore the physical world. He helped this one young man who was having girl troubles and he commanded him to go to her. So he astral projected to her while she was writing a note to him, the Dr. told him to say what she was writing so he could write it down. The next day the young man got the letter and it was only a couple words off from what the Dr. wrote down.

Chief, if something as mundane as hypnotism can produce such a seamless departure from the obviously real ... how can we possibly authenticate that input from the spirit-world is either or both good and true? I grow ever less confident that such inputs are either true or benign. A warning, for whatever it is worth. cn

I actually wrote a paper on Astral Projection for 7th grade English and methinks the backlash may be my hesitation still but you have sparked my interest again!

I had a dream in 2000 living in Atlanta that I was driving the Perimeter to work and my Jeep got clipped resulting in 360's from the left lane all the way to the right.

In 2005 I was driving the 8 in San Diego and got clipped going nearly 90 straight into the median and then guess what? yup 360's all the way to the grass. Besides the fact I didn't hit anyone else and suffered only shock, a bad back and whiplash I was amazingly calm during the crash, I remember it crystal clear. I think that is normal though, it's a sense that there is nothing to be done plus I'm not afraid of death like most. But of course the wtf factor is I fucking dreamed my accident years before it happened!

So this type of 'dream' must be ???
