2. Doesnt matter. But they all need to be clones from the same plant so they all grow the same.

1.) You can use CFLs for your mother plants, as you will need a continuous supply of clones. HPS works best for your separate flower room/tent. Use at least 600w to justify using the SOG method...IMO

2.)Use any indica dominant strains for your mother plants, as you will want short, stocky plants since you are growing out many small plants with one main bud on top.

3.) Depends if you are doing this in soil or hydro. I would go with an ebb and flow table if you go the hydro route, as you can fit many individual plants in the trays. Soil will just depend on the size of your space you have to flower.

I've always wondered how many plants people were including when using m2 yield notes, at least with regards to soil. I've always thought 9 ... 3 x 3, 1 foot pots, 1 plant per pot.

16 ... around 5 plants per row, each row circa 36" long, 1 plant every 7.5"?

Is that too dense, or about right considering you're focusing on top colas for the SOG? Curious as to competition for medium.

I think is waste of time cloning from a mother-plant.germinating each seed it works too? tell me if i'm wrong.

You are wrong.

If you cut a clone that is 3-4" in height, after 7-10 days it roots and you have a 4" plant that is starting to grow again.

If you plant a seed you have to germinate it, then plant it, then wait for it to pop out of the growing medium, then start to grow.

Well, thats my opinion anyways.

Use 2l soda bottles 75 perlite 25 vermiculite mix. Well rooted clones straight to flower you can do 32x2l bottles under a 600 watt light.

The mother plant concept is for speed, much faster for a clone to take root than it is to germinate a seed to the same relative size. Efficiency really, from seed works fine too, but cloning is faster and easier to get a perpetual (known) growth.

Yes you are wrong. Its not for speed! The point of cloning like i said before is so that all of the plants are exactly the same. 10 seeds of the same kind will not grow 10 idenical plants. Some will express more traits of the mothe some of the father. If you want to do a perfect sea of green with all the tops at the same height you must use clones.

CFL or HPS LIGHT (and how many watts)
HPS 600 Air Cooled....... Run as close to the tops as possible without bleaching, burning or curling.

BEST SEEDS FOR THIS METHOD
This really depends on you and what you want out of the bud, smoke, taste, look, etc...... Look for stuff more indica in lineage and that tends to grow a main cola. Start them flowering short; like directly from transplanted and rooted clone, maybe 5-7 days veg tops!

AMOUNT OF THE PLANTS I CAN FIT

You should be able to fit 4-6ish plants a sq. meter so like 32-45ish plants if not more. I personally would use a flood table, 3x3 and fill it with like 40ish or 7 plants a row 7 rows, sq. magnum pots. They are like 6x6x7 or something along those lines, U should be able to flower 5-7 per row sq. on a 1 meter x 1 meter or roughly 3ft.x3ft. area.

Thats the downside to using MH or HPS, the heat generated. Its not a problem if you account for it, but if you don't, there is a risk of excessive grow room heat, that risk increasing exponentially the smaller the grow room. But if you have proper ventilation etc, its not a worry.

You can do SOGs with different strains though, I"m not sure where you get the impression people only use one strain. One of the good things about an SOG is that you can switch it up so often.

You say that i can fit 32-45 plants ?? The issue is that i dont have another room to grow the mommy...any option?

You need to acquire the proper skills to do this.

1) Google is your friend!
2) If you want to grow sog and you only have one room, you need to start with a mommy first, should be easy.
3) Now you have your mommy, now your going to have to find a place for clones and learn how to clone.
4) Once you can successful take say 40 clones and have 30 or so live, repeatably........Now comes the tricky part.
5) Take your 40 clones and get rid of the mommy. I hate to say it, but do her in. You need the space.
6) Build up your sog setup, give it a test to make sure that the environment is good.
7) Now veg your clones for about a week or two.
8) If you can grow a good mommy, then by 2 weeks or so you'll have at least 2 good lower branches on each clone to clone again. Do this at about 2 weeks into flower.
9) Repeat.

You may have to adjust your timing here and there, but this is all doable.

Luck be with you!!
