kannabia gnomo 5 weeks

I have one kannabia gnomo thats about 5 weeks old and has started showing its sex. it has white pistils near the top (cola) and a few pistils by the nodes.

you can see the pistils in the pic. i think it started flowering this week. are these plants supposed to flower this early? its only a foot tall, will it get atleast 3 ft?

I never grew an autoflower before and i have 4 other photoperiods.. should i feed the auto ? or all of them GH novaflora bloom.

Not yet ... it looks healthy. treat it as any other plant and feed when it shows appetite. This one doesn't yet. cn
 
this is only my 2nd grow.. how can i tell when shes hungry? will she turn yellow..?
I had to repot them in new dirt 2 weeks ago maybe thats why... i also put 5 pellets of peruvian seabird guano in there yesterday.

thanks for the advice.. im just anxious to feed them :-P
 
I watered her today, its been 4 days since she had a rain shower and a watering the day before the rain. I picked the pot up to feel the weight and found ANTS! they were crawling in and out of the drain holes and where surrounding the area around that. some were carrying some white things, larva or some egg maybe?. ive been researching a good barrier or something i can do to keep the ants out. help....:idea:
 
Beware of the ants they can carry in root aphids from what I've read. I think you can feed the ants borax or something, knock those fuckers out quick whatever you do!
 
okay so i went to the plants and the infected pot didnt have any ants that i could see. I took the percuations anyways, I started with the terro traps. I placed 3 around the plants. then i sprinkled cinnomin around the bsae of the pots up to 2 feet away, then i sprayed a 3-4ft parameter around the surrounding foliage. after that, I took some sevin dust and sprinkled lightly a 5-6ft radius around the plants...

I hope i didnt over do it an I think that they will be fine an the ants will stay away..

I also Have 3000 ladybugs on the way..:hug:

i got ants on an outdoor grow once. You can get a fly-screen, they are cheap and its just a very fine fabric mesh. You cut it into a disk and then gaffa tape it to the bottom of your pot so that it is sealed off to the ants. It worked very well. Next time u grow outdoors you could line the pot with the fly screen from inside and just fill with the soil ;)
 
if you want an organic pesticide for leaf eating critters, you could get some plant essential oils of cinnamon, garlic and clove bud and mix them together and dilute in water. Thats if you want a reaally organic grow. But they degrade in the sun so sprray every few days or so. The oil vapours are toxic to many arthropods, but not toxic to mammals, plus they degrade in the envornment naturally so its good organics :)
 
and stop fungus gnat larvae by using fine sand for the first 1cm of substrate in your pot. The sand dries out quick and they will die. If you find you have fungus gnat you can slo lay small peices of potato on top of the soil around the main stem and in the morning/afternoon the next day or 2, throw it away and replace, because the larvae eat the potato and get thrown away with it.

(these are all things i had problems with on my outdoor grow last year so i hope they help)

Yeh if its 5 weeks then it should be starting to flower fully around now, so yeah you could switch to 1/8 strenght nutes. but theres really no point unless you know its getting into the full swing of flowering (bunching up of pistills rather than just a few single ones at the internodes). the plant looks healthy, can u get better quality pic up??

heres another, ill have to take more some other day. thanks on that organic spray tip, but im confident my 3000 ladybugs will do the trick. the concern I have with feeding them is that i have 4 other photo periods that are still vegging and i want to feed them all on the same schedule, keeping it as simple as possible. I have been leaning towards getting the GH floranova bloom because that is what is recommended on the breeders site. would it be ideal to feed the photoperidos ( mandala ) the bloom. maybe i should consider a different fert. but Gh is available and cheap.
 
i think ill feed all of them starting at 1/8 or 1/4

i found this which helps alot..

do you think I should feed every 3rd watering? or everyother? or any suggested schedules

    Yes, you can use FloraNova Bloom @ 8mL/gallon throughout veg and flower (once a plant is mature at least - use a reduced percentage w/ young plants).

    FloraNova Bloom and Flora Bloom are two different product lines. If using Flora Bloom, you will also need to add in Flora Micro (8ml Flora Micro + 16mL Flora Bloom/gallon). With FloraNova Bloom, you will not need to use any other products (no Flora Micro).

    Again just make sure you understand that FloraNova Bloom and Flora Bloom are two different product lines. Using Flora Bloom will require you to mix in Flora Micro (ratio: 8mL FM/gallon + 16mL FB/gallon). Using FloraNova Bloom (ratio: 8mL/gallon), you will not need to add in anything else.​

still looks very early in flowering, youve got another 6 weeks i rekon till harvest or just under. You dont really need nutes at this point as they wont just make the plant magically puff out in buds, so be patient (i know its hard) but ull jus be putting nutes in the soil and they wont b being used by the plant yet, wait a lil longer, like a week or even two and start very weak
