i had a friend b4 i moved who was extremely suicidel.. his brother just killed himself then he was put on 9 months house arrest.. super depression.. i used to go over and play guitar and video games and shit with him just to keep him occupied.. it worked pretty well, he was a really cool dude, just had a really rough run of it.

Do you say the things that you do for a reaction or do you really believe them? I would certainly feel a little sad, but not depressed, to hear that you might actually live in a world guided by the thoughts that you express on these threads. You're not really a retard chef but I do become quite dismayed at your lack of empathy. I don't think I would like a hug from you, I have a strong hunch that I won't like the way you smell. but thanks anyway.
LOL And I have a strong hunch I wont like your dental hygiene as well. How are may words offensive to this guy? Im just telling him my own experience with depression, I wasnt quite at the suicidal point but I was in a dark place for a while. I stopped giving a FUCK and life got remarkably better. Didnt exactly turn into an extrovert but I say what I want to who ever I want and I dont give a shit what people think about me. Thats why I think its an illusion, its stupid to dwell on whiney cry baby bullshit, its hard to break through but once you do you think "WTF was I thinking? Man I was a sad piece of shit". Im sorry if my opinion based on my experience offends you, I recommend some cream for your hurt butt.

Unfortunatly some people are sicker than others and REALLY can not just snap out of it.
I dont know if this guy is for real or what but I do know that will power is just enough
to get some people dead before they figure it out.

IME there are four types of people when it comes to depression.
1) The people who were depressed since they realized how horrible the world is but they decided to ignore it and not think about negativity because it scares them too much... You know, the whole "ignorance is bliss" thing.
2) The people who are depressed and dwell on it.. Kind of like being trapped in a depression bubble.
3) These people are much like the first option people (they see the world in it's negativity) but they choose to accept the world as it is and they do not dwell on negativity.
4) People with legitimate depression. A depression that only medication can alter.

Dont get mad but I dont agree with number four. I dont like modern day psychiatry, I think if everyone was to see a psychiatrist then half of them would be convinced they have something wrong with them and walk out with a prescription. However, I do feel that if someones environment negatively impacted them so much and for so long then yeah, depression can be a permanent condition. I dont think its something your born with though. I can only recommend a good environment, good, uplifting company, and good weed lol

As someone who tried all manners of therapy, will power, geographical and friend changes I can
tell you that chemical imbalance is just as real as thyroid problems and without insulan diabetics die.
I`m not mad and I understand what you mean about shrinks being too fast to lable people.
Most never try anything but meds and lots start with antrdepressants and benzos. The benzos
help calm them and they stop there. But Its the antidepressant that keeps me semi straight.
There is no high involved I take it because I have to or I flip out.

Different people have different brain chemistry. Your brain chemistry plays a huge role in your behavior and the way you think. Clinical depression is a real thing. I'm not sure if you're born with it or not, but I do know that it exists.

I do agree that psychiatrists just throw out the word depression all over the place so they can prescribe pills, get paid, and move on to their next patient. They told me I had clinical depression but just recently, I found out I have what is called "depersonalization disorder".. No wonder none of the anti-depressants helped me.. Those dirty mother fuckers just played a guessing game with me like I'm sure they do with most of their patients.

Regardless of my experience, clinical depression is a real thing.

What I've learned looking back after a failed attempt, was all that pain I was feeling I simply transferred to the people I care about. I know that's what you want to hear, but it's what I've seen. Another is, you've talked yourself into this perspective "feeling" then you can talk yourself out of this feeling "depression". When ever you think of something negative, replace it with something positive. If you can't think of something, make something up (we all delude ourselves one way or another, it might as well be for your benefit). One of the harder parts I found is noticing when you're being negative, it's often very subtle. Dieting is a one example, when you hear someone say "they couldn't do a diet" undermining their confidence and making it vastly more difficult if they should try, if they got out of their own way it wouldn't be very difficult. I've taken it a bit further and told myself over an over feelings are just thoughts and I can think anything I want at anytime. Then I can think/feel what ever I want, when ever I want. It's just a thought, it's one of the easiest things to do, if it's difficult it's because you're making it difficult, get out of your way.

The more you practice the easier it gets, just like anything. And it really takes very little effort to accomplish.
