with the right strain right line, in a dwc or waterfarm, under 1000 watts minimum and co2 you could pull down 2lbs per plant if your thumbs are green enough, ive seen it done, here in my town, and here on the site.
2lbs per plant means little unless you give a time frame. anyone can veg a plant for 4 months and get 2lbs. but if you can get 2lbs from a plant with 2 week veg time then you are my hero.

2 week veg maybe if your using hydro with canna nutes, coco drain to waste in a ton of coco co2 growzilla with a 1000 watt optilume, 1000 watt hortilux eye uvb/uva enhanced. adding molasses, and using the emerald triangle (gravity, bushmaster, snowstorm) however those yields are not organic, that is very synthetic. but i like to veg 3-4 weeks. Just started using a waterfarm, and im using coco, pretty sure this is going to shave serious time off.
ill only veg for 2 weeks this next run and see where i end up :-P as soon as im ready to clone ill start a new grow journal, just remodeled the room and finished mother selection, changed out genetics to all subs strains, my soil is organic, my hydro is canna

if your trying to actually grow any significant amount your going to need hid lighting (high intensity discharge) metal halide or high pressure sodium, i use both, and both are 1000 watts. so in a 4x4 tent i have 2000 watts hps/mh, 400 watt mh for moms, and a 4foot 4 bulb t-5 for clones and veg. more light is always better. you can grow with cfl's, and even get a tasty crop, but the difference your looking at is exponential as far as yields are concerned. cfls pull a quad per plant if your lucky, hid's pull between an oz-qp per plant depending on strain and what light your using, feed method/grow method. where as you wont ever see much per plant in a cfl grow, or even large crunchy buds. im not knocking cfl at all, if i lived in a dorm, or apartment its what id do. but i live in a 4 bedroom house, its silly for me not to use hid.

i just wanted to grow two plants only preferably an LSTed sativa and an indica and get a clone so that after i have harvested the first two plants i will have another 2 ready again. this is the exact measurement that i got just right now using a tape measure, 1feet and 4inches length 1feet and 4inches width and 3feet and 4inches height.

i had a lot of lesson learned from the guys here at RIU.
1. first dont be lazy. ( past days i was lazy to measure my cabinet, thought of it that it was 2 by 2 by 3-4, then looked at it again measure it again with my eyes and
thought of it as 1 1/2 by 1 by 1/2 by 3-4feet height and again looked, i should have gotten my tape measure on those days, darn).

2.save money for pot.

3.

dude, save up some money and get yourself the right equipment. you've made 3 threads about lights and lighting and every light you have posted is not suitable for growing. also take the time to lurk and read a bunch of threads that way you can get an idea of how to grow. keep your grow simple until you learn some.

my friend uses single 1000 watt lights 2 plants under in 7 gallon pots, he uses soil and feeds heavy synth nutes and pulls a pound per light. very do able, you just need to be adamant about feeding, and it doesnt hurt to bubble your nutes prior to feeding, adding sugar every time is never a bad thing. you can feed both pureblend pro and iguana juice with sugar/molasses and have amazing results without going all chemical.

Here is an Example of the drawing I sent you last night.. see how I have the 6 Bulbs hanging on top of the "plant" (refer 3rd pic to the drawing). Those need to be CLOSE to the plant, so you will either need to be able to raise ur plant up to the light, or your lights down to the plant... The first image is one i took for you, to show you the difference in bulbs. The yellowish one is 2700k, used for flowering a plant. The whitish blue one is 6500k which is used for vegetation. PLEASE NOTE YOU SHOULD NOT USE A SMALL 13w bulb. Get the bigger 23 or 26 watt bulbs. The First image is for my plant as she gets taller. With CFL's, the leave on the bottom half of the plant tend to be hidden from the light above so, in reference to my drawing, the 2 sets of 3 hanging lights will make the bottom half of my plant happy. I have seen good grows with only 3 of each CFL and that is what I would suggest for you.

This is the first thread I found but you can see his grow with only 2 CFLs to start, but later he ended up with 4.

Come monday I am planting my Clone and there will be TONS of info for newbies like you and also in hope for feedback from some of the PRO's on here. I will send you the link to follow on that day. I will be covering EVERYTHING from nutrients, to lights and spectrums, Odor Neutralization and air circulation. Keep tuned, but in the meantime, Search around your house for unused lamps, fans, flower pots, spray bottles, gallon jugs of water, thermometers, and anything that could be useful to your grow.

P.S. Please, Please, Please do NOT use Miracle Grow Soil. It CAN work, but is difficult.

Look for happy frog soil. 12 $ per bag has micorrhizae and beneficial microbes
happy frog and ocean forest are both made by Fox Farms, a very reputable brand.. For seedlings Happy frog is your best bet, but later on when u get clones on your next grow, id look into ocean forest, just has different, stronger, nuts. But for seeds, happy frog is subtle and very good.

have just finished my 2nd attempt on my growbox set up

got a wood here painted in white, and drill one 25watt daylight CFLs with 1727 lumens on my home made cieling for my growbox and put another 25 watt daylight CFL with also 1727 lumens in the lamp shade. ( i know that i still don't have enough lights, but tell me if its ok for vegging)

i also put my old T5 flourescent 8watt lamp at the back, but it not yet working because i have no extension left here.
as for the fan, it didn't cost anything because nobody uses it here.
the wires were also recycled.
as for the height, i used old groiler books so that i can lower my plants up to 1inch if it get bigger.

i dont have enough cash, i just bought one 25watt CFL, and let my incandescent light bulb be replaced by another 25watt CFL.

i really a cheap bastard.
but recycling things will help save a lot more, and a step on having a good environment. :)

here are the pics:
suggestions and comments are welcomed,

Does the box tell you the color temperature? Cause a 6400-6500k daylight will b a bit more effective than a 5000k daylight

Get that out of your Grandma's cabinet! There is no way that you are going to get thru a grow without doing serious damage to it! Switch to a closet, buy a tent, or grow them outside. I would never try a grow in a cabinet that had any sentimental value. You are dealing with heat and water which will both damage the wood. I'll bet your mother isn't aware of what you are doing. Oh, and if you use the mercury light, you will also burn the whole house down. Start with outdoor. Less problems, believe me.
