MG uses cheap chemical nutes, It can be used successfully if you HAVE to. it has time released nutrients, most MJ growers want to add certain nutes at certain times. I personally believe that quality and taste is greatly affected and most MG users don't know the difference between High quality smoke and what they've grown with MG. Most growers HATE to be told there stuff sucks.

ok well i HAVE to result to using it this time around ne way unfortunately , are there certain steps u need to take when using MG???

you will still need to fertilize mg soil it doesn't do good for the 6 months they claim and you need to be carefull cause you don't know how many nutes are in your soil thats why I use pro mix you know exactly how much your feeding your girls I do wan't to try a few girls in subcools super soil too but later on down the road pro mix is kind of cheap and you can buy cheap nutes from a hydro store

never heard of menards bro but i will sure look into it to see if theres one around....thanks.......and thanks for finding that thread victory ...imma check it out now ....thanks for the feedback

organic choice is all id use and i compost it really well before even thinking about using it, their slow release shit makes your buds taste horrible and it burns them. id compost the hell out of anything from them if you dont want burns and sour bud. buy some black kow next time, or anything besides MG that doesnt have slow release nutrients, if you want better results grab yourself some earth worms and a compost bin, and some blackstrap molasses to feed microbes if you want an even richer mix. throw in eggshells, old fruit, dead/live leaves, anything high in sugar(soda, juice, etc) to feed microbes, and the roots of any fast growing plants for extra microbe colonies. the soil under a big tree where leaves have broken down over a long time is also a good source of rich soil although it may contain aphids, nothing leaving it out in the hot summer sun cant fix. and try to keep your compost wet as much as you can, with worms it can take anywhere from 1-3(larger bins may need more time, although it depends how many worms you have) months, just use whatevers broken down and probably by the time your plants are big enough for transplant itll be ready, or by the time your realize MG(besides organic choice) is shit. add about 20-40% perlite for good drainage, a layer at the bottom helps out a bunch. if i dont reply directly to this thread feel free to PM me.

miracle grow isnt too good for your plants because of the chemicals and since your plants are in miracle grow soil you cant really flush them months b4 harvest

works wonders for me every time. my buds burn and taste fine. never flush. nothing but fine ash left in the bowl after smoking it. idk what the big issue is with ppl using MG. you eat and drink worse chemicals imho.
go easy with it country and you will be fine.

some of my indoor and outdoor miracle grow girls.
there are many other but i didn't wanna highjack your thread country :peace:
oh yeah i do use pro mix soil tho. much easier imho but MG organic is fine, just mix well with perlite (make sure the perlite has nothing in it, i had a bag that was full of nitrogen and killed several plants :-(

I sprouted and grew some tomatoes in MG. The medium held water so well that I had to be careful not to over water...other than that MG worked great and these tomatoes are huge and lush as we speak.

sunny are those grown with organic choice or slow release? ive found a few slow release nute balls in my soil before and had no problems but with 100% MG i had plenty, sometimes it was lockout, burns, pH, overwatering(that was all on my part although it retains water almost too well). this was with their peat moss though, i didnt use nearly any perlite back in the day either. ive heard so much bad stuff about MG though, like it contains harmful metals and all sorts of carcinogens not good for plants, especially the plants that produce flower that will be smoked. supposedly the owners of the company have some relation to birth defects in frogs or something along those lines, would provide a link if i remember where i read it. they may have fixed it though, i remember someone calling it the "pink slime" of potting soil

I grew this plant last year using miracle grow moisture control all the way through, no extra nutes added. Growing some good potent bud is possible using MG products but always expect problems in flower. I have gotten clawed leaves during flower everytime using MG no matter what I do. Here are some pics of what is possible...View attachment 2223332View attachment 2223333View attachment 2223334View attachment 2223335View attachment 2223336View attachment 2223337View attachment 2223338View attachment 2223339

Lots of patients want organic herb, so your crop might be worth more if you use organic fertilizers (OMRI certified). I have used it my first year when it was all I had and it didn't seem to hurt. Their liquid fertilizer is 10-15-10 I think. It is for lazy gardeners, you spray this blue liquid and you can see its blue so awesome. You will be much better off if you can give different organic fertilizers at different times, more nitrogen early, phosphorous for early flowering (tiger bloom) potassium in mid flowering (big bloom). Nothing against miracle grow but it might be a miracle if you grew quality (organic) herb using it.

hey sunnyboy what strain is that plant in pic 5???? i grew some bagseed and got one female outta the batch and looks alot like that as far as the leaves and color ???

organic choice mixed with perlite. i use promix now mostly. its hard for me to get down to the organic store. when i can't get down there i use the MG organic. there are def nute balls in there so beware. just go easy on the nutes if you have those balls.

thats KC x Brasil i got as a freebie and i love it! freaking grows like crazy. i didn't take clones on this round and i could kick my own ass for it. i bet i got a lb dry off that one seed :eyesmoke:

when i first started growing it was terrible. i had no idea how to grow anything. the mrs helped a little as she is the gardener here but now i just look at the plants and can tell what they need. you will get the hang of it. they are pretty hardy plants. just be observant :peace:

oh thats why, i was talking about their other mediums when i was talking about buds tasting weird, i think organic choice has the least nute balls in it(i hope so) but the other mediums i got from them were fuckin packed with em, still dont know how my seedlings survived back then. the worms seem to break them down a bit, takes an extra month but about 70% of my compost is black kow so im probably good. im probably trying espoma this season if i make any soil purchases, have been interested in promix though. if i find that before espoma ill get it for sure.
