yeah i've started braving the shed bro..... the flack i got for harvesting indoors was unreal..... i found i do a much better job when i'm in the warm, but i can't stand people getting all lumpy about the smell...lol... the smell will die down too ... untill you fire one up hahahaha

would like to see some pics though mate... feels like the end of an error lol... and weights dont matter, as long as you take what you've learnt and apply it to your next grow mate you've won

I thought I should pop on here and offer a little update though... (No way is it the end of an 'error'! but the beginning)

Yes. Exo1 got me lean up good and proper I got about 1oz in total, what with all the branches I cut off early as well. It stunk my house out properly when I manicured it (the wife was right pissed) and it still stinks in the jar! It also seems to be a much better smoke now it's cured a little.

Exo2 has under two weeks to go till official chop date and she's coming along nicely. I'll have to see if she's ready by then or if she needs longer, the trouble is though, my jar of exo1 is running out LoL so she may well not last out the two weeks at all if not the next LoL

Big Bud tester is doing really well, in fact I'm loving it. The whole stem is budded up and swelling daily and even though I know it's only medium grade, I kinda want to grow it again.
BZ and FP testers are a little mediocre... but moving slowly.

I've potted up two larger Budziller cuts and thrown them in the box tonight, they're currently around 8 inches tall. According to my tester, they should only take a day or two to start pistelling.
My two larger Fruit Punch cuts I want to veg out a little longer, not sure yet just how much longer. I will see how much they grow in the next week or two before I decide.

My Mothers don't seem to be getting better at all, in fact getting worse... they now look like they've had it and are not coming back to life. Truth is, if they did come back I'd be worried about the cuts being hermies so I reckon I need to dash these three Mothers and focus on the cuts I have. I'm just too sentimental though lmao! I don't wanna kill them
But - I do have enough cuts to keep the strains alive

It's been a while indeed. But it gets a little boring here when no one replies

If anyone's following...
harvested my scrogged Budziller last week, dried it and got 1 single Ounce from the two plants. Hmpff.
I've had shit soil, light leaks and temp changes. All of which stunted my food a few times during this last grow.

But hey ho - an ounce more than I had two weeks ago

The bud is pretty fuckin good too! strong ass shit lol and marked up at 25% THC I'm not surprised, I was kinda hoping hehehe

So....

I upgraded my light from 2x 125w CFL, to 1x 600w HPS only about two weeks ago and am noticing the HUGE fucking difference in my bud growth!!
My Exodus Cheese is finished in two weeks and is already massively huger than my last cheesey crop, but sadly as it's spent the most of it's life under CFL it won't get much bigger - but denser OH YES!
My Fruit Punch is now a few weeks into flower, 3 I think. It looks and smells awesome! Buds are large, yellowy golden in colour and smells like the best fruity bubble gum you ever smelt. Can't wait to see how she fairs. She had her first week under CFL, so with the rest being done under HPS I'm expecting some serious bud from this plant, even though she's so tiny.
I've trained her to sit around 4 inches tall bent over and tied, and around a foot in length. Off the top of my head, I think about 15 bud sites, ish, and all of them reaching up!

My current issues are heat. As you might imagine.
My veg cab now sits (with 2x 30w blue CFL and 1x 125w CFL) at between 25C and 32C.
Bloom cab sits between 24C and 29C, which is okay really. Until the warm weather comes, probably next week lol.
The range is quite big I know but little I can do until I vent my shed (yes I still haven't done it yet). I need a new fan to do this, and am trying to source one as we speak. Just no monies for it
Once I vent my shed, I'll have an ambient temp for the shed which I can control easier than the cabs. Then the cabs should in turn be easier to control too. Fingers crossed for it anyways lol

I'm expecting to put in another Budziller when this Cheese is done. This time I'm going for lighter soil and a much wider and shorter pot. Still scrogging too It seems that there's no other way with this kind of set up.

One other thing that's different this time round - supercropping.
Goshdammit! Don't flower your shit until it's been super cropped to shit - seriously it works!

twist and bend the stem and branches to bruise and snap them internally. Breakages turn into scar tissue which makes the stem wider allowing for a quicker uptake of nutes. My veg box now looks like it has trees in it LMAO with proper wood trunks, all twisted and phat as lol

Anyway, that's all my news for now I think.

hahaha ... been working with some of the popcorn buds from the pineapple express mate....very productive stone, keeps the girlfriend happy as i've been doing jobs around the house (without moaning) and i've been nicely chilled out but active ...

Anyways... quick update
Now running 600w HPS in a cool tube, in my NEW box -still in the shed though- I'm apprx 3 weeks into flower with one scrogged Budziller, 1st week of flower of one scrogged Fruit Punch and about 4th week of flower of one taster (5"pot little silly thing - I like to fill all my space if I can) of Exodus Cheese.

I'm so impressed with the new cab set up that I wanna orgasm at the thought of what's gonna come out of it!!

Seriously... last night saw 2 FULL inches of growth on both buds and on stems - I'm fucking mesmerised!! Shit!

My advice for anyone growing under CFL - stop immediately and get an HPS bulb. The amount of headache and bullshit I went through trying make my CFL cab work was a complete waste of time, in hindsight and I fully love my decision to move forward

The old flower cab is soon to become my new veg cab -current veg cab will then become a nursery- I am to buy a 300w blue CFL for vegging in the next few weeks and some new fans for venting -had to use them ALL for the new box and buy two new ones!-

I currently have one nicely sized Exodus Cheese in veg and is probably already ready for the box, but I want to sit it under the new super size CFL first to bring it back to proper health. As my current veg bulbs are far too small and have been stunting my veg stuff mahoosive bud potential is about to go up 500 fold!

I have a new strain under way - Delicious Caramelo. It has a lavender whiff, and a purple hue towards the end. Not particularly strong high grade according to stats, but enough to make a few bucks
I'm also thinking about other new strains I'm going to purchase. Current thinking is, more blue cheese, Chiesel, Strawberry Cheesecake and a few more... I aim to pick two and another two for me mate, so four new strains and probably will be some form of Cheese concoction -If you can't tell, I have a 'thing' for Cheese-

Everything in my box will be ready start of Aug, so I'm gonna have an empty cab with only one real candidate for putting in there... My thought process is to either get one of the new strains ready by then, or to just go with the one plant and scrog the fuck out of it for 2 months... Not sure yet so I'll see which way the wind is blowing at the time

Priority now; pay the damn bill!!
My leccy bill has gone up since the last reading at a further £30 p/m, making it £90 p/m. In the last 6 months I've not contributed to this, so I'm now trying my hardest to maximise my yields to make sure it's paying for itself. If it can't pay for itself, then it's gotta go! But I have a strange feeling that with this new cab set up... it's gonna leave me plenty of spare change

The new cab. I've since covered the edges of the boards. It appears that I'm allergic to fibre glass and these new sheets are made of the stuff rashes everywhere, so hoping that covering that shit will fix me up

Budziller, just starting it's FOURTH week I can't believe the growth rate after running CFL's for the past 6 months. I'm hoping for at least 4 oz from this beastly woman!

I want to see how much better HPS works out for you...I am using CFLs now and just got a monster one for my closet that is supposedly equivalent to 1000w! Might invest in an HPS soon though, waiting to see what kind of results I get.

I think you'll be relatively happy with your results, but it will never compare to HPS results. Sadly. My mate has been using HPS for about a year now, and his bud size is easily worth the £200 per oz that it commands... Whereas, just a simple comparison, my last yield of Blue Cheese (was super strong too!) managed only the price of standard weed £60 for a half oz is rubbish and I was well disappointed

One thing I will say though, HPS puts out heat like I've never known! controlling it is hard and potentially a lot more expensive compared to CFL's. But sooo worth it I have three 4" RVK fans running and it's still only just bearably ok at between 25C and 31C. Ideally of course is 24C, but fans on full blast so it's just gonna have to get on with it lol Churchill style!

See that's the thing, I don't really have the funds to pay for proper ventilation, let alone HPS. Doesn't help that I live in a very hot / humid climate either. I've seen people growing 2-3 ounces with CFLs! Not many, but a few...makes growing a more realistic thing for me you know?
