Sounds good...except for the part about the foil! Foil reflects light at oblique angles so it is poor to use for plants. Also, it is said that it can create hot spots that will burn the plants! You can use Mylar, emergency blankets from Wal-Mart, car windshield sun reflectors (real cheap at dollar stores), or black and white poly.

Gonna go ahead and say that windshield reflectors as probably the easiest to put in. They're pretty rigid and yet easily cuttable to you can cut them into any size/shape you want without having to worry about all the bending the shapelessness of emergency blankets or other paper thin materials. My e-blankets were a pain to tape in my bin because they never stayed still while I was trying to attach them. I still have them in and maybe it was the taping job I did, but I didn't make it as flush as I could I guess so I lost a few inches on the corners and bottom of the bin.

Oh yea, how's your humidity been Lady?

Humidity has still been high...the salt helped to lower it and if I put more cups of salt it'd probably do the trick...but went ahead and ordered a two pack of mini dehumidifiers. Once for the closet, and one for the bin.

Got them here: http://www.amazon.com/DEHUMIDIFYING-EGG-SET-OF-MOISTURE/dp/B002WUGPUK/ref=sr_1_34?ie=UTF8&qid=1339495604&sr=8-34&keywords=mini+dehumidifier

They were a lil cheaper when I ordered though...like 25 bucks each. Don't know if I happened to find a different seller or what.

Just don't feel like switching out the salt when it's absorbed moisture and either having to bake it, or keep buying more salt. Rather have the dehumidifier where I pop it into the microwave every couple weeks, then it's ready to go again.

Rice does the trick pretty well, we used to put a few grains of rice into the salt shaker, so the salt wouldn't absorb moisture and clump.

That sounds like a good idea...I don't want to do anything extra though lol...like having to figure out exactly how many cups of salt will I need, how long will it last, how to arrange it when the plants get big...so went ahead and grudgingly spent the money ;) Plus, with this perpetual thing my plant time will have to be divided up!

By the way, did your cheese germ yet? Got my Skunk and Big Bud to germ, have them in seed starting mix and a jiffy pot right now.

I have seed split. I ended up not using the rockwool for germination, save it for clones.
In the paper towel now, by tomorrow I should have a taproot.
Then we wait till they show face and it's off to the races!

Decided to save the rockwool for clones too...I germed in it recently and the seedling had a weird crook in the stem...seen other people's like that too. It irks me lol.

any other updates?
I'm blaming the excessive pictures on Glock :-P

Halfway through the 2nd week of flowering. If the Sour Kush side (left side) looks funny, it's because I'm training the branches and stems to widen out more like the skunk (right side)...

Hey Lady J - Good work!

They look soooooo nice! How do they smell? You are going to have some tasty herb :)

I am worried about my big clone. The stems are starting to darken and I am getting yellow leaves at the bottom. I gave her some good nutes today and I have some more brewing. I think she is just so big she is sucking all of the nutes out of the soil!

Cheers,
Mo

Thanks Mo! They smell funky...especially after a bout of stem bending. Can't wait to see how they smell right before harvest :).

That big clone of yours is a big girl...she's probably just hungry! Bet the tea will fix her right up...and before you know it she'll be ready to smoke...then you'll be the one that's hungry ;)

She is a pure African Sativa! She will go till Christmas :P Last grow I planted some Mr. Goo seeds in early August and pulled them in mid October. They were covered in caterpillars so I am trying some pest stuff this time. Trying Sevin (kills earwigs and big chewing bugs), BT (a bacteria that kills caterpillars by giving them tummy aches), Neem (oily so little bugs like aphids get gooped), and beer in a saucer tocatch moths and other bugs (they get drunk and drown).

Mr Goo:

Cheers,
Mo

Wow Lady, you're going to have plenty of green to smoke :) Can't wait for mine to start budding if they look anything close to yours.
